This book is awesome for anyone going through life situations and you're looking for a way out - My pastor, Pastor William E. Dickerson along with several members of my church, Greater Love Tabernacle, each give a compelling testimony to how God has delivered them and how they're living free and for God today. Get your deliverance today.

  • Crusade for Justice: The Autobiography of Ida B. Wells (Negro American Biographies and Autobiographies)
    • Rated 5 stars

I read this book in college in one of my African American studies courses (I minored in it). Ida interested me because I was studying Journalism at Boston University and I thought the connection between my major and Ida would be great. What I learned about Ida was profound and astounding. How this black woman could report on lynchings and talk about the barbaric lynch mobs shows the strength of one human being. Ida's drive and dedication to her people should be highly commended and read - This is a must read.

  • A Sin and a Shame: A Novel

I enjoyed this book, I did find at times that Jasmine (character in the book) was a little annoying with some of the antics she pulled after a while. Overall, this is a good read and I love Victoria's writing style.

I truly hope they make this book into a movie - the fact that Alex Cross (hero of the series) has solved plenty of mysteries but to finally solve the murder of his wife I think is one of the best books Patterson has written in the complete series thus far.

  • Indigo

I love, love, love all of Beverly Jenkins books, but Indigo spoke to me on so many levels. Beverly's ability to bring African-American history to life through romance is clever, brilliant and one of the greatest gifts Beverly could give to the world. Indigo is a must read - check it out for yourself.

    Your Life Follows Your Words

    by Darlene Bishop
    • Rated 5 stars

This is a life changing book - I recently finished reading this book and I'm currently reach Darlene's book The Transforming Power of Spiritual Desire. Darlene spoke at my church regarding the power of prayer and how Christians have become ineffective in utilizing the gifts God has readily given us through the power of prayer. This book explores prayer of faith as well as how your words effect your destiny - so watch what you say - speak life and not death.
