Fantastic, highly recommended. Scarily realistic and reads more like a memoir or biography.

sort of boring. I am forcing myself to finish it. There are some funny, quirky parts, but I find it a bit forced somehow.

One of my favorite books read this year. I was greatly surprised by the depth of feeling and content in the book. I was sad to finish it, but loved the ending

Another of the best books I've recently read. The setting, plot and characters drew me in and kept my interest all the way through to the end. I'm looking for more of Gruen's books now.

This book touched me deeply. It was a surprise, since I picked it up at random, not thinking it would affect me deeply. Beautifully written and deeply touching in many parts. A perfect mix of humor, true-life situations and quirky characters, mixed with sadness and tenderness. I highly recommend this book to everyone. It's one of my favorite reads of the past year.

I'm still thinking about this book....two weeks after reading it, and while reading other books. Thought provoking. I recommend it. It was a fast read too....read it in one night.

Such a promishing book. I was disappointed in it...seemed to piddle out, or end in a way that was not precisely in line with what it seemed to promise..I'm not sure how, but that's the feeling I had. I enjoyed it until the end, but was totally angry with it at the end.
