Thanks for stopping by. These bookshelves bear works from our family library. The noblest--found by selecting the tags "Catholic" and "Christian"--reflect our love for our Lord Jesus Christ and His bride, the Church.

As an editor, I've included books on "writing." As effective writing begins with judicious reading, you may also wish to...more »

You might want to look at the American Heritage Dictionary as a contrast to Merriam Webster's. Always good to have more than one refererence.

Hello, Earl--how nice to hear from you. I'd forgotten all about you and it was fun to be reminded. (Where else in the world would it be acceptable to be so frank? :-) )

Hello, Earl, I just checked out your shelf because you have "Maurice and Therese," which I was just registering. I am also an editor and a Christian. You might be interested in some of the language books under my tags English Language and In My Office. Happy Thanksgiving.

Wanted to say I am a huge fan of PG Wodehouse as well. As anyone should be with an appreciation for the English language :).

Hi Earl. I noticed you just out up a bunch of books on education. I'm just finishing my first year teaching in a nice conservative catholic high school. Do you have anything to recommend that would make me a better teacher of Catholic ladies and gentlemen?

Shelfari shows you and I as the only members with "Soul of the Apostolate" on our shelves. A great book and one of the most influential erads of my life. God bless.

    Hi Earl:

We live in Belair, right in the city of Luxembourg. We've been here almost two years and our son was born here last year. It is really a lovely place and especially nice for raising children. My family and I are moving back to the States this summer and I know we'll miss it here.

I'm glad that you joined the homeschooling group and look forward to reading your posts!

Where in Luxembourg do you live, if I may ask? Have you lived there all your life? My mother was born in the Grand Duchy, where she met my father when he was serving as a Staff Sargeant in the U.S. Army during the Second World War. Of course, it appears we have, at least, one other tie, as my wife, who was born in Brazil, has homeschooled all four of our children.
