Thanks for visiting our family library, whose noblest works reflect our love for our Lord and His bride, the Church. As an editor, I've included books on writing and literature, as sound writing begins with sound reading. That a book is on our shelves does not imply endorsement. As Fr DePauw would say, "to quote is not always to agree."

    Hi there,
I've noticed you have a lot of books that are written by Catholic writers. Are there any good books or short stories you might be able to recommend to me about priests? Other than Chesterton's Father Brown stories, of course, which I've read already. Thanks!!

I am sorry to make such a late reply.

But, thank you for the welcome and I hope to participate more fully in your group.

    Thanks again!

You're very welcome. Yes, discussion will get ugly, but it is politics. I will draw the line with profanity or an outright inappropriate response, but otherwise people will act as they choose. I sincerely hope that you stick around, because I value your opinion. Since you are from Brazil, I'd love it if you would bring some more relevant topics to The Americas regarding your home!

You are absolutely right in saying that the name of the group should be International Affairs & Current Policy, and I am making the change immediately. The group is inspired by the publication Foreign Affairs, and it hadn't occurred to me that International is certainly more fitting. Thank you for correcting a flawed perspective. Welcome to International Affairs & Current Policy! We look forward to your participation in discussion, and please don't hesitate to get some of the discussions rolling. Also, we welcome relevant recommendations to the group shelf. Again, welcome :)
