I'm a very democratic reader which is just a pompous way of saying that I read anything. I think a fantasy novel can be just as worthwhile as a classic. I love fantasy and romance and I have a weakness for the genre known as 'fantasy of manners'. Mysteries and crime books also feature heavily on my shelf :)

I enjoyed this installment of the Night Huntress series, although it was not as good as either of the previous books. It was very action-oriented and I felt as though there was very little character development. I really hated Tate in this one, and for some reason I felt that there wasn't quite as much chemistry between Cat and Bones. There seemed to be a distance between them... but perhaps that was a side-effect of Bones' increased power. Despite this, I'll probably be reading the next book in the series.

I really enjoyed this one so I'm glad that I decided to continue on with the series. I have to admit that I skimmed over a lot of the fighting scenes because they're not really my thing. The best pasrt of this book was the character interaction. I liked the 'meetings' between all the supernatural characters and I thought Adam and Paige were too cute. And of course, I loved all the Clay/Elena scenes

I loved this. The character development was amazing and the plot wasn't half bad either. It was certainly better than the first two VA books. And the ending! Amazing! altough I'd like to smack Sydney over the head a few times...

An interesting retelling of the story of Beauty and the Beast. Caitrin, a female scribe, feels her home after the death of her father leaves her in the hands of cruel relatives, and ends up employed at Whistling Tor, a settlement under a dark curse. If you're looking for a book with lots of action this isn't the book for you. Slow development of characters and relationships but a very enjoyable read. Surprisingly, I really enjoyed the secondary characters whose names I am not even going to attempt to spell :)

I really enjoyed this book. I absolutely adored Simon (he and Colin are my favourite characters of this series). Despite giving this book 5 stars, I had a real problem with Daphne's actions - if you've read this book, you'll know what I'm talking about. I thought that she took advantage of Simon and she completely betrayed his trust. I was pretty disgusted by what she did and the fact that she had no regard for Simon's feelings on the matter. I also feel that what she did wasn't dealt with properly. Simon forgave Daphne far too quickly and I don't think that was realistic. It should have taken Simon a lot longer to learn to trust her again, no matter how much he loved her.
That being said, I loved the humour in this book, loved the interactions between the Bridgerton siblings, LOVED Simon and I loved the relationship between Simon and Daphne prior to 'the betrayal'.

2.5 stars. I've been itching to read this book for years but now that I have, I'm disappointed. There were far too many characters with similar names and half the time I wasn't sure who was who. I liked Kest but Kira was annoying and had no personality. When I read a book, I need to like the main character and in this case I really didn't. The author's writing was good but she made up far too many names for creatures and plants and failed to explain what they were. I also felt like the Shargh chapters could have been omitted. I really wanted to like this book... but it was tolerable at best :(

I really enjoyed 'Seduce Me At Sunrise' though not as much as the first book in the Hathaways series. I think that's just the result of my preference for Cam over Merripen, so don't let that put you off reading this book. Some parts had me laughing out loud (particularly Kev's heartfelt apology to Dr. Harrow) and others kept me at the edge of my seat. Lisa Kleypas does it again!

This book was laugh-out-loud funny! I loved the interaction between Ewan and Mairin. They were so sweet to one another and I liked how they were both so willing to give into love. I've read so many books in which either the hero or heroine deny their feelings or try to resist falling in love for one reason or another but Ewan and Mairin were not like this. Once they fell in love, nothing could tear them apart. There was such trust and friendship between them. I will definitely be reading the rest of the books in the series. I hope Alaric gets a book :)
