Hello my sister! It is always so nice to hear from you. I had a pretty good Thanksgiving and can't believe that the Christmas and New Year Holiday is upon us! Wheww...where did the time go? I just celebrated a HUGE B-day...so, I am determined to embrace the New Year like never before! It comes with many bittersweet upcoming events; the main one being my baby son's Graduation from University and his plan to move even farther away from home for Grad School next Fall. Enjoy the girls while they are this age....time does fly my friend.

I love Carl Weber's Family Business...but I didn't know the complete series was released?? Nor did I know about his sister-in-law being a great writer? Girl..they are rolling in the dough...literally! He is a very talented Author and Publisher. I have my eye on one of his titles: The Man in 3B. What are the other book titles? I have been reading random stuff and some have turned out to be really really good. I am currently reading the last book in the God series by Mary Monroe and it will be hard to say goodbye to these characters. They have become like real entities since the series started out with Rhoda, Pee Wee and Annette being Kids! I think you will enjoy the book more if you read the whole series too. That's what I did with Mary Morrison and also with Lutishia Lovely's series. Another series I waited for and read through to the end was Keith Lee Johnson's Little Black Girl Lost!! Talking about a wild ride...I LOVED that entire storyline.
I have been planning to read the Amish series by Beverly Lewis. I agree, they seem very fascinating. The books you see on my shelf are by Lynn Austin...an inspirational writer who pens historical fiction. I have enjoyed most all of her novels, though there are about 5 I haven't read yet. She writes rich characters as well. Even the audiobooks bring the story to life. If you liked Cane River you'll love Lynn Austin.
I was hoping to meet my goal of 75 books this year but things have been hectic...lol...I so far have 62 read but there is no way I will get over the finish line by Dec.31st.
I look forward to keeping in touch in 2013....keep me informed on what you are reading and recommending. I have books galore so I guess I need to see what I am going to start out on in the 2013.

Well, may your Holiday wishes all come true....May God Bless and keep you and your lovely family in His perfect peace. May good books always bring you joy.
    Sending you gentle hugs Danielle,
    Tori

Hey there Dani...it has been awhile Ma'am. I have been busy, busy, busy. My youngest nephew...now 6'6" and 32 years old, just tied the knot in October. The Wedding was soo beautiful. His mother would have been proud! Now that all of that activity and planning is over, I am getting swamped with holiday planning...sigh...lol...it seems to be never-ending. All is going fairly well. My mom is doing better and so is my Auntie. They are getting up there in age so they are a handful as well. I haven't been reading lately but did pull out the last installment to Lutishia Lovely's series Taking Care of Business yesterday. I wanted to finish her before the year is out. Other than the regular daily grind I am hanging in there my sister. If you have been reading anything juicy let me know. I picked up 2 Allison Hobb novels over the weekend. Can't wait for the Black Friday sales......How are you and the girls faring? Every time I look at the pic of you and hubby, it makes me smile. You two make a cute couple. Hope you get this week off to a great start. I am off for the Veteran's Day Holiday, but will be back on the J-O-B Tuesday....Booooo...lol....Take care and keep in touch.
    Gentle hugs,
    Tori

Hey there Dani...I can just imagine Rayven's excitement over the upcoming Summer break. I remember how it felt to be approaching those last few days of School...lol...aww the good ole days. Yess, I finished all of my spring cleaning and it sure felt good!! I love my home when it's clean. I even parted with some of the junk..lol..now I have room to add some new things when I come across some gems when shopping. You are so right...so many books...so little time. I just can't keep up. The Healing you will def enjoy on audio. I picked up Shades of Gray and will start it this weekend. I am not faint at heart girl...I like some of every genre. I haven't had a chance to list my Zane book reviews etc, but I am curious about E.L James b/c these folks act like this is the first book of erotica to hit the shelves..lol...I enjoy it all if it is good.
Sinners and Saints..umm yeah, VCM can be redundant at times. I have a few favorites of hers. I think these authors get so caught up in putting out QUANTITY that they sometimes miss the quality mark. Her last couple books were so so. With the exception of The Deal The Dance The Devil..I really enjoyed that one!
I am working all summer but am attending a wedding in June in Alabama and then to Florida for a few days to visit my nephew and his wife. I wanted to take an Island trip or go to Vegas but so much has happened this year, I am going to have to postpone those plans. I guess my great escapades will have to come from reading the next few months girl! LOL....
Keep on touch and let me know how your summer unfolds. My birds and my lawn are looking colorful and lovely. The temp is steady rising. We've finally hit the high 90's...we will be in the triple digits in no time. Just trying to keep from having a heat stroke here in Texas!
Hope to talk books soon. Can't wait for Carl Weber's sequel to Family Business!! Whoo that was a good book!
    Hugs,
    T

Hi Dani!! How's your summer shaping up? Are the girls out of School yet?

I plan to read the selections you just finished as soon as I can catch my breath....make sure you read The Healing by Jonathan O'Dell...if you can get the audiobook you will enjoy that too. Either way, the book is beautifully written. I have 50 shades on my list and Billingsley as well as the book Sinners & Saints with her and VCM are next. Did you enjoy them?

The scariest book I read was Helter Skelter...mostly because it is based on fact not fiction. Took me a long time to sleep at night without thinking about people "creepy crawling" my house.

I thought the same thing Dani...a movie based on Weber's book is necessary! I truly think he deserves it. As for Lutishia Lovely, I would try the series again if you are not real sensitive about what Christian Fiction is "supposed to be" She spins a mean tale and in my opinion, she and Carl Weber need to collaborate. It took me a minute but once I got into it, I read all the books in her Hallelujah series and The Business series is just as power packed as weber's. I think a TV series would even do her justice...I fell in love with those characters! If you can get it on CD try that. Either way, she has a knack for weaving great stories.
It was so nice to hear back from you. I know what you mean about juggling multiple books..lol....I will try Torn between 2 Lovers next chance I get. That will bring me up to date on Weber.
    Happy Saturday Dani! :D

Dani...what did you think of The Family Business?? Have you had an opportunity to read Lutishia Lovely's Family Business series?? Just curious. Hope all is well and the house is still neat and tidy...LOL..I say that b/c this week I am in the throes of serious Spring cleaning and reorganization around the house and garage!! It is no easy undertaking...but I am doing it! Next I will be planting in my garden and putting out a little dirt and fertilizer for the lawn before its too late. The weather has been unpredictable,but....Spring is on the wayyy! YAY! Have a great weekend.

Dani!!! OMG!! I am just speechless over The Family Biz....Carl Weber did the dang thing. I started it and couldn't put it down...lol...I wish you were here so we could discuss it! Girl that Paris is something else huh? I have soo many questions about Vegas...that was a sho' nuff teaser that I am sure he will expound upon in the upcoming books. Orlando's girl...what the?? LOL...WOW, I don't know when the next installment is to be released but I hope it is not going to be a long wait. The thing about this book is that you can not tell he co=authored this read with Eric Pete. I have only read one of his other novels and it was just alright...my guess is that the 2 of them will sell a lot of books in this venture. I have read all of CW's books except the last Torn between 2 Lovers. He always nails it....or heats it up. There were a few predictable events and a few that had me saying .."How convenient was that?"...lol...but overall, I thought it was a solid read. What did you think? OH...is this out on audio? I would be curious as to how the story sounds versus my reading it.
What are you into now? I hated for that Epilogue chapter to come up...lol...Now, I am back to shanghai Girls I have a few chaps left to finish.
Have a great Sunday dear one.

Hey lady!! I am in LAZY mode...lol... but I can definitely feel you when it comes to walking into the house and seeing everything in its place all neat and shiny! smiles....the carpet cleaning went well, so I am a step ahead of the game when it comes time to kick off my spring cleaning. Can u believe its Feb already?? So I have one more month before that madness starts. Sorry to hear about your mother0in-law. It has been a struggle with my sister, but I know that in time, things do get a little better. We did so much together, its like losing a part of yourself! :( I am solely relying on God girl!

I have heard of Anna J....heard her books are JUICY....plan to pick her up. Haven't looked at anything by J Tremble. I plan to read the Bi&ch series by Joy King. Those are on order now! I picked up Notorious by Kiki, but I will make sure I have the series before I start.
Haven't been reading too much lately. Just trying to keep all these balls i am juggling in the air..lol.
I started trouble down the Road by Bettye Griffin. Not that far in sooo, we'll see.

I am so happy you got a chance to rejuvenate and relax before going back to work. Kiss the girls and by all means, keep in touch. As soon as I have a book worth sharing, I will let you know. Please do the same.

Oh Dani, I am soo proud of you! Cleaned & organized from top to bottom?? Hmm, girl, pat yourself on the back again! LOL....Actually I feel you, I am on a mission to clean my carpet this weekend. I hate to pay someone when it isn't all that bad this year. I just want to get a solid jump on my Mid March spring clean.Next it will be my duvets & drapes. The holidays were all good. We really felt my sister's void.....2012 is off to a start with or without us. Since I am aware of that fact I am trying to make the most of everyday. Trying to remember to LIVE in the moment and have fewer regrets this year! I hope you took some time to rest yourself during your vacay? Sounds like you enjoyed youself.
I have books piled high and lists out the wazoo, but I am going to try to get in some quality reading especially while its cold & rainy out. I believe I have some KiKi Swinson in my stash. but i haven't read or listed them yet. I have read nikki Turner though which is one of her friends/co-authors. I am sure her books are good. The wifey series right? Which is the first you recommend I start with?
Have a relaxing and romantic weekend. TTYL

Hey lady...Good to hear from you. I totally agree with you about reading a variety of books/authors and also reading some quality non-fiction. I had already made up my mind to add more biographies and some historical book selections. I made a uick diversion and started the Sweet Georgia Brown book and it has had me in stitvhes which is what I needed right about now. I finished my menu last night and was out shopping all day today. I am looking forward to my upcoming time off and after the Christmas feast I plan to relax, release and READ! LOL....Talk to you soon.
    Blessings Dani
PS. I read Any Minute by Joyce Meyers and Loved it too! I see you love Carl Weber as much as I do!
