Kinga

Too many books, too little time.

Needless to say I love reading.
I read pretty much anything I lay my hands on. Fiction, non-fiction, BIG literature, and romance novels (when I'm PMSing). I read children and teenage books.
The only thing I don't really read are horrors, but I might give them a go if I find someone to hold my... more »

A bit difficult to guess what you would like but I can recommend Ben Okri, Biyi Bandele or Tsitsi Dangarembga.

I had to break off from "Three Comrades" for a little bit. I love it, but it's got me on the verge of tears (and sometimes over the verge). I can see why this one's a favorite of yours.

    Hi Kinga,
I picked up Kapuscinski's Shadow of the Sun from the library. I have only read two chapters so far but I am hooked by his writing and perspective. Is he as good in Polish? I will have to get my own copy so that my husband can read it too. Thanks again for the recommendation.

I like your shelf - it's very diverse with several authors I have not read. The one which caught my eye though is Melvin Bragg, as I am familiar with his BBC documentary series on language and history but have never read any of his books. He is now on my wish list, thank you!

Hi! Welcome to Shelfari! I am amazed by how you found Shelfari, and me! I was wondering if it would be possible to link my amazon reviews to here. I googled my name but I had to get to page 2 before I found the link. A little scary how easy it is to trace people on the internet though, isn't it?
Anyway, look forward to your contributing to the the Multiracial group and I hope you enjoy your life on Shelfari. Let me know if you have any questions.
