Hello. Yes I think you would find Jesus in The Sandal Maker as the Jesus you know and love and more. I do take literary license because it is a novel and there would be no point to simply re-writing the gospels. It has miracles, teaching lectures, death, resurrection and appearances. It will raise question and make for interesting conversations but in the end Jesus is God and man in one being. Besides that, the other story of the father and daughter is a fun read too. It is a long book but I hope you will take the time to read it and share it if you like it. Read the reviews on Amazon, a few have come in now. Take care

Reflecting on the truth of God's hand upon a life...The help of God is far more awesome than the greatest chariots...sometimes i wonder how the advantaged are really disadvantaged in that they do not cry to God for help...perhaps not as much as the "Davids"....it seems to me that David's special competence was knowing how to go shamelessly to God for help and getting that help....
Put aside your chariots and horses and beg God for help...and see the difference this coming week. God bless you...

Receive the gift of salvation. Be clean in the sight of God and be reconciled to Him by receiving the baptism of the Holy Ghost. The baptism of water has no power but the baptism with repentance has all power. Pray to God Almighty and repent meaning to name your sins to Him in the Name of His Son, Jesus Christ and then be baptize this is an Ordinance that means that it is required in order to receive the gift. Know that this is the time. Test and approve for yourself the truth.

Hi, Doylene. I’m the author of The Sandal Maker, a new novel about the public ministry of Jesus from a unique point of view. A story that will take you on a fascinating journey in first century Galilee. I’m including here the publisher's notes from Amazon.com. Let me know what you think. The honor would be mine.

    Book Description
Caleb, an elderly Jew, leaves the safety of his home in Cana on a mission to find a man he believes is in Jerusalem. Miriam, Caleb’s only remaining child, accompanies him disguised as a boy. In the desolation of the war struck Galilean countryside, father and daughter risk their lives to journey south on the Jordan River trail. As they walk, Caleb intrigues Miriam with a captivating story of his youth that will change her future destiny. A story of a time forty years prior when he became a sandal maker in order to observe a man some called the Miracle Worker. Caleb secretly kept notes of the events he saw and heard as he followed the crowds. With his objective, skeptical point of view, he reveals the fascinating ministry of the one he called the “Master.” Heart pounding perils and the threat of death endanger the two travelers, but nothing could foretell the fate awaiting them in Jerusalem!

    From the Publisher
    A. Michaelson's new novel, The Sandal Maker, takes the reader on a fascinating journey back to the year 70 A.D. in worn torn Palestine. The author creatively weaves two stories together, one in the present, the other in the past. Heartwarming, enlightening and tragic, The Sandal Maker paints a portrait of one man's life and his involvement in how the gospel came to be.

Hi Doylene, thanks for the note. As you can tell, i haven't been to my Shelfari page in quite some time! Teresa, my wife, and I enjoy an occasional glass of wine together, once or twice a week and when friends come over. I enjoy Sutter Hill Riesling and Muscoti both white wines and have been trying to develop a taste for some of the red wines. One local vineyard, Ironston, produces a wine they call Obsession which I truly enjoy.

You have quite collection of books listed here! I glanced through a few "shelves" of them. I have slowly been cataloging my books on Library Thing (http://www.librarything.com/profile/dboyce70) and have a few more listed there than here. I need to export my Library Thing list and import it here to update my Shelfari list. Then I should go ahead and get one of those inexpensive barcode readers then take a few hours to get the rest of my library cataloged.

My fiction reading is usually in an in and out thing... I'll buy a few books, read them, trade them in at the local used book store and pick up a few more so I don't list them here. (or i'll by my fiction books in e-book form and don't bother listing them here.) I'll look through your shelves and see what we have in common. Thanks, again for the note, Dan

I wrote Worship in Spirit and in Truth as a result of a burden for restoration of true worship amidst all the strange variety seen today...few are bold to declare that we are slowly deviating from ordained paths in a bid to entertain and market the gospel... the result is to fill auditoriums with still wandering souls...pls pray in this end times for a revival IN the church...

dt, I really have a great appreciation for the fact that you see the the gosples and the boook of Hebrews as being written to Jews. You and I may not agree on all the finer points of theology but I really appreciate the fact that you keep scripture in context.
