I could spend days in bookstores. I belong to a fun book club, with a diverse group of people. We have read some great stuff that I never would have picked up.     “I have taken a cooking class from Bev Gannon and eaten at Halimaile several times. Top rate. Bev knows local produce, Maui, is a wonderful chef, and personally put Maui Cuisine on the map. Great book.”

    “I am usually a Frommers fan. This book however is far and away better than Frommers. This author knows Hawaii. It speaks of "off the beaten path" stuff, you would not normally know about. We love Maui and have been there several times in the last few years and was married there. If you go to Maui, buy this book!”

    “Wow, I can't recommend this book enough. This is way better than Heloise. This book has single handedly averted disaster in my home several times. I keep it in the kitchen with my cookbooks. That probably sounds weird. GO buy this book along with a box of 20 Mule Team Borax, Leather CPR, and Odorzout. The Queen rocks!”

    “I have met Karen and taken a class from her as well. Her altering photographs is top notch. A fabulous talent and terrific human being to boot. If you are into mixed media art, this book needs to be on your shelf. She should have bought stock in Nashua Metal Tape. I think she single handedly made that companies profits soar in the last few years. Read the book to find out.”

    “I have taken classes with Traci. She is fabulously talented. I have gleaned more from her book than lots of others in this category. I still use more of her techniques than many I have learned over the last several years. A must-buy if you are into mixed media art.”
