After 20 years of being a part-time musician and full-time bean counter, I'm finally a full-time musician again.

Although I'm not a particularly religious person, I've always had a great love for gospel music, and had vowed that, if I could find a really, really good gospel band and choir to play for, I would.

Well, I did. So now, after months without even picking up a guitar, I'm playing every day and working really hard - and loving every minute.

My beautiful, wonderful, generous wife is the religious one of our family, and my playing for the church - and her support of me in doing so - is part of our "tithe" to the church.

I thought I was done, but it turns out I wasn't. Go figure. « less
