I can understand an alternative which may be difficult to execute, but i don't understand an alternative which is not practical... The simple alternative is to abolish any form of reservation so there is 'no unearned rewards and unrewarded duties'... what are the historical wrongs, can you elobrate...

One idea and way of thinking is - I don't care so long as I am doing my profession with integrity and perfection... but those who say so don't read, understand, analyze and make postings for Ayn Ran. Ayn Rand successfully fought Communism in USA (231 yrs roots), which is not the problem of Bharat (more then 5000 yrs roots). The issue is how to create a balance between proficiency (professional efficiency) and amelioration of the condition of those who have not been able to get into the mainstream for there were people who had better IQ, EQ and DQ (DNA)... the fact that the poor (subject to my reservation for using this word) students applied to become doctor, establishes that they wanted to become doctor... they have achieved their dreams... one more soul is happy... if they still feel miserable, they will quit the profession one day... In language of Ayn Rand can you suggest a "consistent radical alternative"...

Spirituality has its own existence, it is good to see that at least somebody is comfortable, confident and in control of the systems ... Was appreciating the postings made on Atlas Shrugged and thought may be there is an alternate thinking/ decision on reservation issue which is eating Bharat like termites… Do you think Government really exists or there are some individuals who are ruling the roost... from within or without…

I read the Freedom at Midnight... its a great book in the sense that it gives to a large extent the idea about how we got the freedom and how we handled it at that time. As a lover of history about people it also gave a good insight into character and thinking of a lot of people.

ne ways whats up.. how r u? howz neha bhabhi? etc etc.. drop in a line atleast..

    Cheers.. ~Abhi

    Greetings dr jay,
You're right too. Reading Clancy's books beginning with The Hunt for Red October and following through on the rise of the Jack Ryan character would also be good. I agree, in some of the ghost written books the dialogue was horrible.
