Hello, I am so happy to have been invited to this site and to know that I am not the only one who owns a couple of thousand books. I am in my mid 50's and have been reading voraciously since I was 4 or 5 yrs old. Books are my greatest pleasure. My passion is cooking. I was a professional chef for thirty years. I am currently learning more about Indian foods, which I love to eat and cook. I am also exploring West African foods to find things that my new husband will eat. I love to create out of what is in the fridge a one time fun meal, never to be repeated. Cookbooks are just one of the type of books I read. I love history, anthropology, crafts, sailing, ceramics, painting, traveling, and road trips. Meeting new people on the net is so interesting for me, making our world smaller, more familiar and intimate « less
