Hello, I am so happy to have been invited to this site and to know that I am not the only one who owns a couple of thousand books. I am in my early 60's and have been reading voraciously since I was 4 or 5 yrs old. Books are my greatest pleasure. My passion is cooking. I am professional chef; for 40 years. I am currently learning more about Indian and Pakistani cooking, which I love to eat and cook. I love to create out of what is in the fridge a one time fun meal, never to be repeated. Cookbooks are just one of the type of books I read. I love history, anthropology, crafts, sailing, ceramics, painting, traveling, and road trips. Meeting new people on the net is so interesting for me, making our world smaller, more familiar and intimate. « less
