Hello, I am so happy to have been invited to this site and to know that I am not the only one who owns a couple of thousand books.     I started a group called Read-a-Likes, and I'm trying to get some active readers involved in the group to help create lists of, well, read-a-likes. The group is small as I just started it the other day and only have a few posts, but I'd really like to get some more active members that can help create these lists. I think that it would come in handy for other members that are looking for some helpful readers advisory.     Yeah, my hubby isn't much for eating out either. When we go, it's mainly for my benefit. And buffets? Oh, he hates those. Says if he's going to pay to eat out, he's going to have someone bring his food to him. (Will make an exception for Cici's Pizza buffet. All you can eat for less than $5. He likes that.)

    The survey was a huge failure because....:

    In Africa they didn't know what 'food' means.

    In Eastern Europe they didn't know what 'honest' means.
    In Western Europe they didn't know what 'shortage' means.

    In China they didn't know what 'opinion' means.
    In the Middle East they didn't know what 'solution' means.

    In South America they didn't know what 'please' means.
    In the USA they didn't know what 'the rest of the world' means

    Palek paneer is one of my favorites. I've only ever had it frozen though. Don't live in an area where you can really get it any other way. There's an Indian restaurant in Asheville about 50 or so miles from me. I'm gonna try it one day. Bet it's better than frozen. :-)

    You're welcome any time. I'm in Houston, TX. Any time...my door is always open to you and yours. Bring your family because I learned to cook from my mother who made dinner for 9+ friends while I was growing up, so there is always plenty.

    You cook for a living? What is your favorite dish to prepare?

    Professional chef huh? Wow. You can come to my house and cook any time.
    I am discovering Indian food in the form of some pretty good frozen dinners. I know they probably aren't as good as home cooked, but it's a start.
    I'm not a bad cook, but I really love to bake. Whenever I go to a pot luck, I bring along Cake Bites. (My favorite thing to make right now.)
    Isn't it neat how food helps bring people together?
