I have been a story teller since I was a child and I haven't stopped. Recently, I've moved to non-fiction writing. I have no idea of why I started writing non-fiction because it requires footnote, which means research. I don't mind the research, but it is difficult to stay current in today's connected world. I wrote non-fiction as a journalist, so, maybe that mode is revitalizing my life.
I plan to release a book about religion in the United States and it effect in modifying behavior. Over the past 20 years it has become popular to speak of family values and morality. Kicking around these morality footballs prompted me to research just much religion affected behavior in the United States. I have finished the rough draft and what I found is interesting considering the lip-service paid to morality.
I titled the manuscript Practice vs. Preach: The Failure of Religion to Make a Difference. That tips my findings. Nevertheless, there are surprises in each chapter. If my editor plays "editor" instead of movie director, the book will be released December or January. « less
