I do not raise my family from the book of bibliography called the bible of trueth and fictions...yet, I studied the laws taught from it. I raised my family from what I know to tell them the trueth of the laws I have been given to raise a family by my example of how I believe the translation is referenced for me in the English dictionary for referal to express what I view.
Applying wisdom to the future and present questions are my focus.
I can't recommend all the books I read... because I mostly read non-fiction or text books. That should be an individual's preferrence. Peace to the journey you are choosing to share.
A recommendation for checking out several books, without the time to read them, "Go to the index of the book, and read the information that applies to the topic you are thinking about." Remember to look at the summary and table of contents.
Someday, when I can financially retire, I want to go to Harvard or Yale and study "Preventive Medicine"... I have been studying all my life as a healer, to reach another goal of mine and make a substantial contribution, which I believe the knowledge is not mine to assume by the teaching so much, then by the experience... with the information I have received.
