I love to read that is why I am here . I am married, (2nd marriage) and it is such a blessing to be loved and love in return. God has sent me a soul mate. I am constantly reading & I find much joy in reading especially while soaking in a hot tub of water and listening to soft relaxing music. I love to meet people, I find people intriquing. ... more »

So I'm reading The Sacrifice but I'm a little confused. Does she ever got back to Katie's story? I was really wanting to hear more about Dan and Katie.

What do you think of Beth Moore's stuff? I've heard pros and cons.

    Fellow Shelfari Friend,

i recommend strongly you read:: How Wal-Mart is Destroying America. See
what your conclusions are , and then share your thoughts top other consumers. Here are my thoughts...( note: I try to be a fair, siomple minded, common sense person at all times. This book has me a tad perturbed, to say the least

    Here are my thoughts

Is anyone as Disgusted and Disturbed as I am after reading this book? I realize the author has a bit of a slant as he abhors WM, however it is downright scary.

Can this company be any worse for America?

    Where do we start?
Importing tons of CHEAP product from overseas
    Greedy
    Taking advantage of its workers
Beating its suppliers out of business for its own gain
Killing economies as they move into town.
Utilizing and taking advantage of government subsidies to get their "boxes" built.

So we all save 10 cents per box of popcorn or a gallon of cranberry juice.

This to me sums up how silly we the American people are. We are outsourcing America to death. Pretty soon there will be no jobs so we won t be able to shop anywhere.

Not to mention the service is awful.

We the public have the final say and we CHOOSE to shop where we want.

Will some peope read this and STILL shop there to save a few pennies?.. of course. however i think if most read this........ they ll choose to spend their dollars elsewhere.

Walmart is , in my opinion eating America up. We all need to wise up here. I don t know of a situation where monopolies are any good for the consumer. Do you??

I just noticed your picture with the motorcycle. It caught my eye since I ride myself. Do you get out often? I haven't had much time this year yet, but hopefully soon.

The concept for Bookcrossing is really great, but to be honest only a few of my books have been 'tracked' as far as who has them and where they are. i haven't really participated much there in the past year, due to personal issues, and haven't posted my books much, but they have a very busy and fun social network.

    Hello :)
I know a lot of people like bookcrossing.com, but I have trouble promising to part with my printed friends, which doesn't make me an ideal member [grin]
I do appreciate you telling me about it. I know it was a decent suggestion, The service has become very popular in several of my online circles!
