My favorite genres are fiction, horror and classic literature. I also enjoy...more »

I was attending Rockhurst College in KC, Mo and he was a Jesuit priest that lived there and through intent and synchronicity we met - i have seen the Warren's work on the discovery channel on the haunting's shows - I appreciate the recommendation!

I have read 'Hostage to the Devil' and it is very good - I met the priest whose brother performed the exorcism that the book 'The Exorcist' is based on - I think there are other books that fill in the picture/puzzle that Martin leaves out - 'The Magus of Strovolos' is one. HTD is, at it's heart, about how important the cultivation of one's will and spirit is. The one thing it lacks (the book) is the power of love as an energy and M Scott Peck covers that in 'People of the Lie' as does the 'Magus of Strovolos' by Markides..

If you liked 'Hostage to the Devil', you will like M. Scott Peck's book, 'People of the Lie'. He references Malachi Martin's book and shares one account of an exorcism that he was a part of - interesting book because at one time he did not believe that 'evil' existed except as a moral/philosphical issue because as a psychoanalyst, he delt with 'real mental/emotional/physical issues'.

    Hello Again!

Your daughter is precious and I'm guilty of not updating my kids pics also :)

I was drawn to the quote myself and thought it fit the site perfectly so I posted it :)

Hope your enjoying a good book. I just purchased "Nefertiti" by Michelle Moran and I started it today. So far so good :)

I too am very passionate about books. I cannot seem to get enough reading done and my family can vouch for that :)

I wish you much success with your dream to open your own bookstore and cafe :)

Have you finished the Mists of Avalon yet? I bought Oprah's new pick but I'm not very far into it yet. The baby picture is very cute.

My oldest picked it up from me, and from my mother and sister, who always read as well. I'm pretty sure the baby just saw us reading, and began by mocking, and now she loves the pictures and points to the words.
This is a recent development, when she was 10 months, she didn't have much of an attention span either, give her a few months... (She started between 12-13 months).

Hi! I'm new to this thing, too! I read about it in my Oprah mag. I add books a little at a time. When you want to categorize your book, just click on it and it'll give you some options-- one is "ADD TAG". Then you name your category. I loved the Mists of Avalon-- I've always loved Arthurian legends and I really enjoyed the feminist twist. I'm reading "The Fountainhead" by Ayn Rand right now. It's really long.
