“ This Time Will Be Different is one of those books that one could easily relate to. The story is a familiar one. At one point in time, who hasn’t found themselves second guessing the possibilities of rekindling a past romance? Especially if you thought that person may have been The One. If my time had not have been so limited, I would have read this book in one setting.
I was not fond of the main character Ireland because of the way the relationship ended. In her case, I felt like she should have been going forward instead of backwards. I’m all for second chances, but only if it’s worth it. As sexy and charismatic as Jay was, he just wasn’t worth the energy.
Although the book was a little predictable at times, I still think it’s worth a read. I think I mainly wanted to read it to see what Ireland would do. I rolled my eyes and shook my head at every decision she made, but I was happy with her final decision.
Overall, I liked the story because it’s all about second chances and even though you want something bad, it’s not always good for you. And I love it when the good guy gets the girl.
