I am an avid reader and can't imagine surviving in a world without books. I normally read thrillers (Mystery, crime or paranormal) and supernatural/urban fantasy, along with a little sci-fi, with the paranormal and supernatural/urban fantasies being my favorites, but I am definitely not limited to these. Some of my favorite authors are Patricia... more »

Thank you so much for you note. I don't particularly like that fantasy stuff either. I like vampires (Stoker, Rice) and witches (Rice, Mostert), etc., but just can't get into the fantasy stuff, ie, "Buffy the Vampire Slayer." The books have to have some depth to them, ie, "Season of the Witch (Natasha Mostert). Thanks again.

Hi. I see your a big fan of Anne Bishop. You didn't post any reviews. In reading about the books, they sound like they may read a lot like scifi (star wars etc). Are they?

I hope the changes in your life aren't bad ones! I've been wondering where you are, but I haven't been around either so I thought it was just be. We did get moved in and are loving the space. But we still have stuff everywhere cause the closets aren't done. Today the pantry should get finished and hopefully the cabinet doors will be done soon so then the kitchen is done. My daughters room needs shelves and stuff in her closet and our closet needs painted and needs the shelving. We also have to paint the coat closet and put up shelves. We don't have blinds on all the windows yet either but we're getting there. It's nice to be living here and be able to work on it slowly. My mom and sister are coming tonight from SD for two weeks. I'm so excited! And the baby is getting HUGE! I've also read the Fever series, but there's plenty to discuss with them, that's for sure!

You have an extensive shelf. I'm going to have to check some of them for myself. I also noticed that you have "The Left Behind" series. How did you like the series? I personally haven't read one. My reason is that I've read some Christian fiction in the past and have not been impressed. I've found that the stories or writings are a bit of "watered down." I purchase my books from amazon. There you can also purchase used books. I'll have to check your site. Tx

It does sound nice. It's one of those things that I'll ponder on forever, and then eventually beg the hubby for probably haha.

Hey :)! I love meeting new people too. It's so interesting to look at other people's shelfs and see how much you have in common and stuff.

I see you have a Kindle, whats that like? I've never seen one up close. I don't know if i could like it, because I love having the books taking up space on my bookshelf.

I am also reading "Harmony's Way" by Lora Leigh. I am enjoying it so far. My kids are out of school so it is cutting in on my reading time..LOL. We are year round so we are off for one month. Now I stay up late to get some reading in. I have been browsing your shelf to get some book ideas. I see a few I will most likely check out. Thanks again :)

I have the first Highlander series on my MP3. Just got the Kate Daniels #1 book on my Kindle (saw it on your shelf ). Loved the Dark Hunter by Kenyon but I left off on book 4 I think (Sunshines book). I have read the first by Laurell K Hamilton but none of the others you mentioned. I will check out your shelf to find more. I go through books fairly quickly so I will be asking for new reads.
I sort of like finding series after the fact because it is so nice to be able to pick up the next book right away instead of waiting for a year for the sequel to come out. I read so many that I sort of lose some of the facts when I start reading again...just happened to me with the Jeanine Frost book. I hope Quinn makes an appearance in the Riley book I am reading now. I was sad about Kellen, I liked him :(

I have read more into Hunting Ground, and it is getting better, but I have put my finger on that is bothering me, and it's Charles! His character is getting on my nerves with his saying My Anna this .... and all that!

Oh well, I guess I can overlook him. He is nothing like his brother Samuel IMO!

Well, I am into day two of Hunting Ground, and something must be WRONG with me girl. I am having a really hard time getting into this book, and I just LOVE Briggs. Maybe I am comparing it to Mercy, and there will NEVER be another Mercy Thompson, IMO. One of the best series out there.
