Since I was about twelve years old, I have been an insatiable reader. Sadly, however, I am a very slow reader. Consequently I have way more books than I will ever be able to read in my lifetime. In addition to the books I have listed on my shelf, I have many more in ebook format that I read on my Palm LifeDrive or Centro, and more still in audio... more »

    Hi Dickter,

If you like Koontz, Cussler, Crichton, Flynn...you might like Catch.

A woman abducted by a mysterious organization. A troubled man trying to outrun his past. A power so terrible it possesses the ability to rip away the very fabric of the universe itself...

I am a retired cop and I started a historical investigation of the book "Target Patton" which I have not finished yet. I am working on it every day and what I have found so far has been shocking. This book is only the tiip of a really shocking black iceberg. If you wish I will send you a copy of the report when I am done.

Dick, check out "Lone Survivor" by Marcus Luttrell and "From Private to General" by Jerry Curry. Both are great non-fiction accounts or war by two American heroes. You might also really enjoy "Triple Cross" by Mark T. Sullivian which is an action/thriller story on steroids. Enjoy and READ ON...

Let me know how you like David Liss' book, "The Ethical Assassin." I own it but haven't read it yet. I have really enjoyed some of his other books, especially, "The Coffee Trader."

Dear Dickter: I am an author from Massachusetts. My debut novel HUNTING THE KING was published in April. If you enjoy reading a good thriller, you might like HUNTING. The novel revolves around a charismatic young woman named Molly O’Dwyer. Molly was five years old when she witnessed her mother die in a fire. She never knew her father. After her mother’s death, she was raised on the campus of a Jesuit college. Now an archaeologist, she has been recruited to participate on a dig in war torn Iraq. As a scientist she is compelled to discover whatever or whoever is buried under the sands of ancient Babylon. As an observant Catholic, she is scared that whatever she finds will have devastating consequences for her faith. There is a wonderful YouTube book trailer well worth watching if you have the chance. Hi Dickter: Have you read "The Chase" yet by Clive Cussler? The last time we wrote you had not read it yet. We have 331 books in common. I'm reading all of Bill O'Reilly's books...they should be required reading for everyone. I'm trying to locate all of Glenn Beck's books to read. He will be starting on FOX news after the first of the year...I'm a big fan of his and Bill O'Reilly's. Happy reading and take care.

Hello Dickter, I just had to write and tell you I just started reading The Religion, by Tim Willocks, and I'm having a really hard time putting it down. I love the way he puts in so much detail with a great story line. Well back to reading. Bye for now!
