I am so terribly sorry for your gift being so late. I had some things going on and it slipped my mind. I have 2 books and a bookmark that I sent off yesterday. It should arrive in 3-5 days. I do apologize again. :(

I wasn't surprised. There was a bit of foreshadowing when the ghost almost broke the doors, but the next morning there wasn't a scratch on them. I think the whole ideas was this ghost liked to play mind tricks. The ending shocked me a bit though.

Oh put your review back just above the part where you described the murders write

    *******SPOILER*******

and that works for most all the groups!

And thank-you for being understanding about this.....

Prosecuting Atty? Wow, I have an acquaintance who was D.A. Prosecutor of the year... What he does now, is make the rounds of Parole Hearings to make sure all them stay in prison..... It's amazing!

Hello: I'd like to ask you to put a "Spoiler Alert" in your Book Chat review for "Dismembered"... because I do not want to remove your post.

It is one thing to tell the plot/story line of a book... but in this one you told the story.

    Thank-you!

Lol! No worries, I hate pics of myself. The older I get the more lazy my left eyes seems to get. Now, how can I take a nice picture if that eye won't pay attention :P haha

I was going to find my review for the first book and post the link, but I came across the PBT shelf review first (which includes mine). Unfortunately, it appears that I talked more about the audio than the book itself, besides it being "fun"! Well, I'll give you the link in case you want to peruse some of the other reviews added to the shelf. :-)

Ok, to add to my previous post.... you like Anne Rice/vampires (or, at least, Anne Rice's vampires!), but aren't a big romance fan - the Sookie books, of course, have both. The Sookie books also have plenty of other supernatural beings (weres, witches, and possibly others I'm forgetting!). There is a little bit of sex in each book, as well. Not sure if any of this helps you decide or not!

I don't remember - you don't listen to audio books, do you? The first Sookie book I "read" was actually an audio. I continued with the books in print, but I find that audio lets me fit in extra books, while I do yard or housework. Just a thought. It is available on audio.

Again, I suppose I still haven't really answered your question, but maybe this gives you a bit more to think about?

Hi! The quick easy answer (though it's not really an answer!) is that I hear the tv show is very different from the books (I don't get HBO, so I've never seen the tv show to compare). I know that's not really an answer, but let me think about it for a little bit. You could always just try the first one and decide from there. They are quick reads, so you wouldn't be "wasting" too much time if you decided you didn't like them, after all, if you just try the first one. Let me get back to you again later, though...
