Let me know when you read Skeletons at the Feast. Let me know if it's clean enough for me. Thanks! I'd totally recommend The Book Thief though if you haven't read it. It's about Nazi germany too and is one of my all time favorites - but very, very sad.I'd skip Sundays at Tiffanys - not so great. Fun premise, but kind of a let down. Hey, and why are our reviews no longer posted under the books? That's too bad. that was one of my favorite features.

I'm only about halfway through, I find myself researching quotes and scripture as I go along. It's very interesting and I have discovered a few of my own profound thoughts thus far. Enjoy the book.

Dave, I remember being in that very harbor. I just read Things Fall Down by the Africa Achebe, written in 1959, the year I was born. His character main character, Okonkwo, appears to be static, and by our culture, unlikeable. The story's climax and resolution, jammed together, make this book puzzling, at least for me. Perhaps the speed of the Europeans' arrival felt that way.

Hi Dave. You say you love Indian Fiction but I must note that "Interpreter of Maladies" is conspicuous in its absence. I know, you're a hard-working father of three, but that's why this is so perfect: it's an amazing collection of short stories. Figure I can give you a hard time now that we're friends. :) (ask Josh about me). In the meantime, check it out on my shelf. When I become a more adept user I'll officially recommend it to you.

dear dave, great man are always great. regards, yours, khan. join my group peace for all "" . thanks !!!!!!!!!!!!!waiting!!!!!!!!
The book about Eddie T was pretty darn good. There was quite a bit of intrigue during his short reign, and not a few people lost their heads! Less sex than with other royals, but one can't have everything. I think you'll love The Odyssey on a second "go." Let me know what you think!
What the hell, Dave? Seriously: What the hell? :o) Additionally, what did you think of The Odyssey? I see that you recently read it (three weeks ago, by Shelfari's calculations!), and I'd love to know what you thought. I think it rocks. Will you agree...or disagree and face the consequences!?
