I LOVE to read, wish I had more time to read. My ideal vacation is my honey, a beach and a suitcase full of books and a margarita or two of course. I like to read all different kinds of books, get excited when someone turns me on to a new book.

Hey Danielle. That Europe thing sounds really good!

I know what you mean but the ADD thing! lol

I started Salem's Lot by King, and I am having a hard time getting into it.

    Hi Danielle:
This is way too confusing for me.
I just sent JP "Atlas Shrugged" by Ayn Rand for his birthday. It is Daniel's favorite book and he gave me
his this winter. It took me awhile to get into it but
once i did I loved it. It was written 50 years ago but is just as apropro today - certainly the way the
    country is heading.
I hope you get to read it also.
    Love, Louise
PS: I just read 19 minutes by Jodie Piccoult
and enjoyed it and now I'm reading Keeping Faith
    by same author.

read it and let no one leave you jaded, the fun comes with the discoveries that are inherent in your plunging into the unknown, difficult at first it is like learning to drive then you will be on good ground. have fun venturing into the life of Pi

Hang in there through the first few chapters. I read it a while back and loved it, but my girlfriend recently read it and said she really had to trudge through the early chapters before she got into it. By the end, however, she loved it as much as I did.

I don't think I was as bowled over by The Life of Pi as a lot of other people were, but it is a good story that offers some essential food for thought. If you have any interest in seeing the movie when it comes out, then I would definitely recommend reading the book first.

I heard Yann Martel speak and found him to be gifted and thoughtful. He was quite humble about the success of The Life of Pi, which - in a way - added to my positive feelings about the story.
