    We actually both have a first grader in our hands. I have 2 kids, a 7 yr-old girl and a 5 yr-old boy who is now in kindergarten 1. They are my treasures, too. We don't celebrate Thanksgiving here in the Philippines but I had my share of that celebration when I was in the States many years ago. Oh, i miss the turkey! We are big on Christmas here and New Year. These are the two events when we celebrate most with families and friends. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family! Do keep on posting...it's fun to have friends from afar. :-)

    Now that I think about it, I believe I did read The Hobbit, or at least part of it. But that was a long time ago! I think my mom read it for a book club she was in, and I started reading it when she was done with it. I was probably in Jr. High at the time.

    Yes, I am ready for Thanksgiving and some time to just relax. And read, of course! I hope you and your family have a very happy Thanksgiving also.

    Hi Destiny, thanks for you friendship request. I gladly accept. Are you a Stephen King fan too? His new book finally is published in Dutch, which made me very happy. No problem to read it in English, but I love to sell it to the people in my store. If you are a fan, read the graphic novels of the Dark Tower. I like them a lot. Have a wonderful weekend!

    I love it when it is snowing.. especially at night... every is shades of black & gray with white ... love it ! Better in the mountains though. With the rugged terrain, it feels colder somehow.

    I just wanted to let you know that I heard from the publisher and my final review date is in November. So, hopefully I will know at the end of November if they are going to publish the book. Thanks for being patient and hanging in there with me. This has been a process... let me tell you. Anyway, I am also on facebook if you want to add me there as well.
