I host a weekly podcast, Destiknit the Podcast, catering to knitters and spinners around the globe. Topic discussions always to include at least one book review, weekly highlights in knitting and spinning, Ravelry happenings, designer highlights, tips and tricks and product highlights and reviews.
I was taught to cast on in 1993 by my Chemistry teacher and have been knitting ever since. I have always had a passion for reading and books and so it seemed natural to further my knitting skills by reading great books such as Montse Stanley's "Knitter's Handbook," and of course, the great Elizabeth Zimmermann.
Aside from being a knitter and spinner, I also have a large family. I am mother to four children, ranging in age from 2 to 12 years old. My husband is a US Navy Commander, which is why we are presently living in Germany. One thing is certain, our life is exciting!
