I also like Sidney Sheldon and Stephen King novels. My wife reads Sophie Kinsella, sometimes she gets bored reading so I would read for her so she... more »

    Hello Dennies:
Thank you for the Shelfari friendship request, I am honored to accept! I am not Philippino, but I have close friends who live in the San Francisco California area (my home) which are, so I have developed a fond appreciation for both the people and the culture.
    Best wishes,
    Scott

You know Dennies, the same could be said about you reading my profile and then commenting that you do not like it. ;-) If you are afraid someone will disagree with your opinion....

Got the book as a gift, tried to read it, couldn't, found it boring and annoying to read. Have no idea about other Grisham books or John as a person.

I don't give up on an author because I don't like one book. Now, if I don't like the next one I read, I may. But, I've heard really good things about A Time to Kill and I liked the movie. That may be the next one I try.

I just gave my opinion on the book. That's what a review is. I do have other books of his on my shelf and I may try one someday. Just not so soon after reading "The Appeal". I do happen to like courtroom dramas. I loved Jillian Hoffman's book that I read not so long ago (the name escapes me at the moment) and it was a legal drama. If I'm not mistaken, I said something along the lines of "I hope the rest of his books are better than this one" when I wrote the review.

Dear Dennies: If you like Grisham, perhaps you'll like my thriller novel HUNTING THE KING. It just hit the bookshelves this week. Living in the Phillipines, you would probably have to order it online, but it may be worth your effort. Watch the YouTube book trailer. The publisher did a remarkable job capturing the intensity of the story.
HUNTING THE KING is a fast-paced page-turner that follows archaeologist Molly O’Dwyer into war torn Iraq in search of the remains of Jesus. ForeWord Magazine says: “Fans of intellectual thrillers and historical fiction will find a worthy new voice in Clenott. His best invention may be Molly O’Dwyer, a genuinely likable heroine who more than holds her own in a man’s world. An ambitious scientist, she is also an observant Catholic whose heart and mind don’t always agree. Given such an auspicious start, the sequel can’t come too soon.” Molly O’Dwyer is an in-your-face woman with a mysterious background who’s about to go on the adventure of a lifetime.

To get a good sense of how powerful the book is, check out the heart-pounding booktrailer on YouTube or on my web site at www.peterclenott.com. It is like watching a preview for an exciting movie. The novel is equally exciting.

If you can’t get to your local bookstore, you can find it on Amazon.com, Barnes & Noble, and Kunati Books. I hope you’ll take a look. And let me know what you think. You can talk to Molly on her blog at http://gospelofhannaniah.blogspot.com.

    Thanks. Peter.
