Holly Miller "suffers" from dissociative identity disorder (DID) and doesn't want it any other way. She lives with five people in her head: Betty Jane, Ruffles, Sarge, the Boy, and the Silent One. While letting Betty Jane control her, she gets hired as a voice-over artist on a up and coming tv show. However, when the show becomes a hit and Holly is required to accept an Emmy, her personalities battle for control exposing her.

While I do not think this novel is very accurate of the disorder, it was definitely an interesting read. The author did a great job of differentiating the voices and the story was continuously evolving and was not predictable.

Kitty only wants to help, however, she gets roped into saving the world. Nation wide sensationalist and self-proclaimed expert on the supernatural is at the crossroads of taking on what could be the biggest war in the supernatural world. With Ben and Cormac, and Rick at her side, she will bulid an army that will take on Roman.

I thought it was clever how the author ended the book with wrapping up who it began. It answers the questions that Kitty was searching for before she took off to fight the bad guys in San Francisco.

An horrific story of a young girl who gets kidnapped and trapped in a garden shed for seven years. During this time, after miscarrying once, she gives birth to a baby boy who is now forced to live his life in the shed with his mother. After a daring escape, they are freed and have to learn how to live in the world.

The story is told from Jack, the 5 year old boy's perspective, who has never been outside of "Room" a day in his life. A horrific retelling of a true life horror story. The author did an amazing job at capturing the essence of a 5 year old boy and what he was like from his point of view.

A heroine tale that rivals all others. Phedre no Delauney was raised a servant to the nobles, being bought and succombing to her gods/godesses. Rising among the ranks, she once again sets out to ensure her homeland and her Queen.

As much an action/fantasy, this novel holds true a romance that endures the worst of tests. An amazing story of courage and resilience.

There is so much that goes on in this story it is hard to place in a few words. Phedre is a Servant of Naamah but chosen by Kushiel. Under the instruction of Anafiel Delaunay, Phedre learns to see, think, and interpret all she hears. When her life is taken from her, her and her Cassiline protector fight for their lives and country. It is within her power to stop the betrayal of a fellow D'Angeline from destroying her homeland with a handful of trusted others.

Fantasy names tend to be difficult to follow and normally I don't tend to read them, but once I started the novel I could not put it down. The characters have such an intelligence and courage that makes the reader care what happens to them.

  • Kitty Goes to War
    • Rated 5 stars

This is my favorite one of the series so far. Being a child of the military, I know how difficult life can be for soldiers and I think it was a great plot. There was so much action involved in this novel. It was entertaining and with realistic elements.

Kitty is an amazing character. She takes on so many roles and goes above and beyond in trying to do what is right and taking caring of her loved ones.

Las Vegas. Eloping sounds like a good idea, when the wedding plans become to much to sort out. Kitty schedules her first live television show, that happens to be in the same hotel that a gun show is going on. While dodging gun-toting bounty hunters and a cult of were-cats, she is on the search to find Ben, who was kidnapped by one of the city's notorious criminals.
