DELIGHT FROM WITHIN

DELIGHT FROM WITHIN

I haven't read novels for along time. I have read the Bible alot the last couple of years and felt like nothing else was really worthy in comparison. My life has been so changed in ways I didnt know could exist. I find so much of God in everything around me and so many books have so much treasure in them that its kinda hard to stop. I forgot how... more »

Yeah, I saw the trailer for the Time Traveler's Wife. It looked really good, but I think I want to read the book first before seeing the movie. I know, Eric Bana's in it!!!! He's adorable.
I never did like Erik. And later in the series, I started liking Aphrodite better. Zoey becomes less "honorable" as the series goes on. She's just so stupid and ignorant in all the things she does. I don't know why people would ever look up to her or think she was a good character.
In City of Bones, the main character, Clary, is definitely my favorite. She's really just a normal teenage girl who gets swept up in something that she had absolutely no clue about. I can just relate to her so well because she's more realistic than other main characters in paranormal series.

    Sounds interesting!!

Suzanne Brockmann write romance and suspense. I like her romance a lot. I read a bunch of her romance novels while I was sick a couple of months ago. Have you ever read Sandra Brown (one of my favorites!!!)?? They are very similar.

I don't know if it was a slow read......or if I just couldn't get into it at the time. I had gotten it from the library so maybe it was due back. I've heard it is good so it must be!

My 4th was great! I love long weekends. :)

Forbidden? I will check it out. I started to read The Time Travelers Wife but couldn't get into it. I have to be honest, I didn't give it much of a chance. I heard there was a movie coming out so I may try to read it again before.

I know, it was really bad. People always say, "oh, but can't you relate to it? Zoey is like any teenage girl." Uh, no she's not. She's the exact type of person I try to avoid.
I finished City of Bones a few days ago. That was a REALLY awesome book. I couldn't put it down at all. I'm on the second book now, and it get's really exciting right at the beginning. I highly recommend it!

I don't have much room at home so I use the library - which I love. I do buy my favorite authors though. One day, when I win the lotto, I'll have a library. lol

Grapes of Wrath - ugh. It gets better but I can't wait for it to be done! Today I started a Nora Roberts book because I needed a little vacation from the depression of GoW.

I am glad you are going to read the King Henry book. You have to let me know how you like it. It is a big book but I love that about stories.

I would LOVE to have Twilight from Edward's point of view but I read that Stephanie isn't interested. Maybe when she is done with whatever she is doing and sees how well it will do.......who knows!!

Hope you are having a great 4th of July!!

Oh my gosh, I HATED the Marked Series. I was always hoping that it would get better, but it never did. I read the first three books, and then gave up. The main character is terrible! She's terrible to her friends and her (I'm sorry if this spoils it a little) three boyfriends that she acquires at the same time. If you go on with the series more (which I don't recommend) you'll see what I mean. I don't want to spoil too much if you're on the third chapter. I also hate the writing style. It sounds like a twelve-year-old wrote it.

A friend of mine is reading the Twilight series right now (she is on Eclipse) so I get to talk about it at work too. Yeah!

Oh that was a good movie. The book, of course, was so much better! The Showtime series The Tudors is awesome! Margaret George also wrote books about Cleopatra, Mary Magdalene, Helen of Troy and Mary, Queen of Scots (which is my second favorite book by her). Her next book is on Elizabeth I in her later years. Another writer I LOVE is Diana Galbadon, who wrote the Outlander series. VERY good books and another series that you fall in love with the characters. The main guy character is almost as delicious as Edward. Probably more so as he is mature. :) You should most definitely check those out.

A Trip To The Stars sounds interesting. As far as what I am reading next......I am reading Grapes of Wrath right now for book lcub (ugh - barely getting through it). Then I have some random books from the library. But I don't have a "definite" next book.

Yeah, my cousins were just telling me yesterday that it was already out. Now I really want to go!
The Power of Change helps stop negative thinking, huh? I know a lot of people who could use a book like that.
Skins by Ted Dekker is the book that I have on my shelf. Tell me how you liked it when you're done.
I'm looking for a book that I can't put down too. I have this book at home called City of Bones by Cassandra Clare. Everyone says that this series is really good. Stephenie Meyer even comments on the front cover of the book that it's a great read. The Hunger Games by.......(sorry, I forgot the author's name) is also supposed to be a really great read.

Yeah I read all the books in the Twilight series.

The book I'm reading is about these creatures called Vours that take the souls from bodies on Sorry Night (the day of the winter solstice). It's suppose to be horror but I don't find it terrifying yet. Maybe it'll get better. I'm just trying to force myself to get through it because I bought it, haha.

Hey! Oh yeah, I have read all the Twlight books. I got Twilight from the library one day because I kept reading all this stuff about it. Then I got the second one, read it in a day and had to go buy the rest because I couldn't wait for them to come into the library. Totally fell in love with Edward - of course! :) Are you Team Edward or Team Jacob? I did read Midnight Sun. I know she says she is going to finish it one day.....one day......and yes, I have read The Host too. Took me a bit to get into it but then I was all about it. Bawled like a little baby, it was great!!

Heaven was so great. I read all of the V.C. Andrews books - up until the orphans books. I can't think of what the names of those are. Did you ever read My Sweet Audrina? That is a great book too.

Henry VIII was the king who was married to 6 different wives - including Anne Boleyn? She was the mother of Elizabeth I. Great great book! Henry is usually seen as a selfish, horrid king but this story kind of gives you a sympathetic view. Henry changed religion during his reign in England, allowing him to divorce his first wife - who basically refused to be divorced. It is a great historical book.

What books do you have waiting to be read? Like you said, I could just look on your shelf but what fun is that? :)

I just started The Devouring by Simon Holt, I'm not far enough into it to decide if I like it or not. However, I did just finish Along for the Ride by Sarah Dessen, it's her most recent novel just came out a few weeks back. It was really good, I was hooked from the very first page. Usually I have to read a few chapters to get into books.

Yeah, I really enjoyed Twilight. But my favourite of the series is New Moon. I just read it in one night, I was so captivated.

I need more reading material, preferably novels (not series!). I'm just reading so many series I can't keep track of all the books. Do you reccommend any good novels?

Hi! Well - right now, my all time favorite book is The Autobiography of Henry VIII: With Notes by His Fool, Will Somers by Margaret George. Margaret George is a phenomenal writer. Very detailed and is definitely all about researching her subject. I also LOVE Twilight and the series.

    What about you?

    Your picture is adorable, btw!
