I turned 49 years old this year. Many things have changed in my life, too. Even as I grew older, my husband and my 4 children grow old too. My second son graduated in College and we're now looking forward to our third child's college graduation next year.I get sick every now and then showing that I'm really aging. LOL]

    Merry Christmas, Del! Greet na tika this early, coz tomorrow we are flying to Bislig City, the whole family will spend christmas there. It is my parents-in-law's Golden Wedding anniv on Dec 24, so we troop there.

    hi Del, im sorry to hear you werent feeling ok, gi-text unta ko nimo, so i could visit you at the hospital. I hope you recover fast, one of my staff was hospitalized too due to pneumonia. It's very Christmassy already, my mom has just arrived from the US and very glad to have her here with us. I will call you if im in Ormoc.

    Im having a slump with my reading...ugggh! Busy at work and at home. Enjoy your rest days and your books! hugsss

    Sorry for the late reply. Sure! :) That would be a lot of fun and we could shop around Fully Booked at High Street. It's my most favorite bookstore. ♥

    I did some Christmas shopping yesterday and of course, some book buying. I bought some great YA books such as The Summoning by Kelly Armstrong, Fire by Kristin Cashore and Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets by JK Rowling.

    It seems that Yours Until Dawn by Teresa Medeiros is very popular among romance readers. I have to find myself a copy. :) And I see you're reading Then Came You by Lisa Kleypas. I hope you like it! :) It's among my top fave LK novel. It's a very different romance story than what romance readers are used to. :)

    Thanks Del! I will pay a visit to that Booksale when i go to Tacloban. I think wala pa na didto when i was there at Robinsons Tac in August this year.
    My hubby is afraid of heights also, im the daring one (just a bit).

    Hi Del, it was nice meeting you finally! We have criscrossed each other's city for quite sometime :-). Oh, i didnt know there is a Booksale in Tacloban? Where is it located? Darn! ive visited the place often and didnt know they have 1 there.

    I was para-sailing at Boracay during summer, went helmet-diving (reef walking) too, just grabbing some adventure before the body refuses to tolerate it hehhehe!

    My TBR list is piling up as well Delia. I told myself before that I had to chunk out at least 1/4 of the books on my list before buying anything again. But a lot of my friends, here on Shelfari and the other book networking sites I'm a part of, are always recommending books that I couldn't resist! And so my TBR list just keeps on growing! :) And I can't help myself when I'm inside a bookstore. I knew I have to buy even just one book or else, I feel restless and unhappy. ^_^

    I have never read anything by Julia London but I've heard a lot of good reviews about her books. My usual problem with new authors is that I don't know where to start when it comes to their books. Do you also have the same problem?

    Anyway, what was the title of the short story you've read Delia? I would want to look for it. ♥

    My Mom is the same. She's not very strict with my brother when it comes to me, I can't even imagine. But maybe because I'm the only girl remaining in the family as my older sister is already married.

    I always see Some Like It Wild and Yours Until Dawn in Powerbooks. I might decide to grab it one of these days. For now, I'm reading The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman. So far so good. Have never read anything by Gaiman before. I just finished Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins and I thought the book was very wonderful. I'm on a YA kick lately. ♥ Haven't read that many romance books in a while. But I bought One Reckless Summer by Toni Blake. I'm hoping it will be good. ^_^

    Wow!!! Cheap hard-bound books are a treasure! I'm so glad you found it. I've heard Medeiros' Yours Until Dawn is good. But I'll also look for The Bride and the Beast and A Whisper of Roses.

    *laughs* That's what my mom always tells me! I fondly remember that when I was younger, she always reminded me to wait for the right man to come, but now, she's the one stressing out over my love life. *laughs* But I let her be. ^_^ But I'm praying to God that the man destined for me will come at the right time. Maybe the fact that I don't have one now is a sign from God that I'm not ready yet to settle down. ^_^ I want to do a lot of things before I settle down. ^_^

    I'm so happy for you Delia. ♥ I'm hoping I would have a happy marriage just like yours and my parents. My parents had been together for 26 years and I'm hoping that the man I'll fall in love with will be the person I would spend the rest of my life with. *laughs* (PS: This is what I get from reading so much romance novels!) ^_^

    I'm your very stressed out friend. Hahaha.. I didn't know that work could be this stressful! *laughs* But I'm truly enjoying it. I get to meet a lot of new people and learn about different cultures as well.

    I've heard a lot of good things about Teresa Medeiros. What book would you recommend that I read first?

    October has been great reading month for me. I just finished The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins and Seduce Me at Sunrise by Lisa Kleypas. I'm just a few pages shy of finishing Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins. And then after that, I'll probably finish The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman and Smooth Talking Stranger (I'm listening on it on Audio until my I-pod went bonkers and I had to have it fixed).

    Yes, i've seen those, in fact i bought Mansfield Park the other week. It is now P79. pesos, due to the on-going sale. I have Northanger Abbey also, i think Sense and Sensibility is lurking somewhere in the bookshelves in my library. Where did you buy a copy of Medeiros' books? i havent encountered her books at booksales, yet. Sige, i will check her books. Thanks for the reco!

    ive recently finished Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen, i never read her before and i enjoyed the book very much. Im not into the 2nd book of John Dunning - Bookman's Wake, it is still holding my interest. Another book which i liked very much was The Guernsey Literary & Potato Peel Pie Society, i recommend this book to you. It has wit, adventure, love story, friendship, women strength etc. You will love it!

    It's good that Booksale Ormoc serves you well, im slow inmy reading lately very busy with work and out of town trips. Right now, im reading Booked To Die by John Dunning...i really liked the story and the education about book collecting, buying etc that i get in the story. Plus, it is a mystery, my favorite genre.
    Ive bought so many books in my out of town trips not to mention from the bookstores here in cebu. My TBR tower is now leaning precariously! hehehehe. I hit my 40 book challenge this year already, im on my 45th now!

    My family is doing well. I am better.

    My daughter turned 22 on the 20th of this month! That's wonderful she can visit with you. My one son went back to college last week and my other son goes back to high school on the 9th of September. It has been a lot of business with packing and getting school supplies together!
