    I just looked over at your blog and it looks interesting! I'll have to bookmark it to check back now and then. Yes, the book really had a good impact on me. I don't live on a farm or a place large enough to raise any animals or great amounts of food, but I think I am going to try a small garden next year. In the mean time we love going to the local farmers market and I've been making more of my own items (cheese, bread and maybe beer if it comes out okay). As for the book "The Friday Night Knitting Club," I was not really happy with how it progressed and ended. It started off well, and I really started liking some of the characters, but it took turns that I just didn't understand and I didn't care for the way it all came together. The talk about knitting and how it brings people together was good though. I guess it really depends on the types of books your daughter likes to read. I was expecting a light, pick me up book and it is not that at all. But maybe knowing that going in I might have liked it better as well.
