    Hi,

Do post your comments once you read the Ridveda hymns. I would like to hear your impressions on it. I have bought one of those myself, and I am in process of reading it.

I absolutely understand what you're saying and I am sure it is very under Flaubert's intentions. Flaubert's reasons and intentions may seem tangled and too subtle, but they are always accurate. I am sure any man, has been, or it is, or will be, at a certain moment, a bit of Frederic. As any woman has been, it is, or will be, Madame Bovary. in fact, one can be Frederic or Madame Bovary no matter the gender.

hehe, good question. well, I wouldn't like to be loved like madame Arnoux, and I don't have any bit of Rosanette or Madame Dambreuse in me, and so, no Frederic would fall in love with me in the first place. And no, a lover like Frederic would bore me. but none of this interferes with my enjoying very much and appreciating
    'L'Education Sentimentale'. ;-))

    Hi. Enjoying your shelf.
    I see you're a Shakespeare enthusiast.
I highly recommend "ShadowPlay" by Clare Asquith.
Opened my eyes to hidden meanings in his work.
    Happy reading.
