I'm currently a grantwriter, but am a librarian by trade and heart. This is usually how I introduce myself. It just sort of spills out before I realize what I'm saying. I've been on a sabbatical from books for the past year and half for various reasons that include post grad school burn out and massive life changes. I know that sounds like a weird thing to say. You would think I would've immediately turned to books for self soothing and assurance. I did the exact opposite. It was an internal experiment. It didn't work and I concluded that the mind must be fed through the printed word.
About two months ago I joined shelfari. It was randomly (or not so randomly) sent to me from a good friend. This has been my ever so sweet catalyst back into my lovely addiction. I love the idea of shelfari, even if it sometime feels a little voyeuristic...
