This is an excellent book if you're an iPhone newbie. There are also some great tips and tricks if you're an iPhone veteran! With the new iPhone OS 3.0+ and iPhone 3Gs phones, there are hidden treasures everywhere. There are 17 chapters full of great information and screenshots. I highly recommend this book if you want to learn more about the iPhone.

This book is available at Costco for $7.99. Best price I've seen.

I first heard about the series from Stephanie Meyer. And after reading the book's summary, I just knew I'd love it.

If you enjoy science fiction, fantasy, and a mix of Greek mythology, this book is a perfect place to start! It's a story about a demigod (half mortal / half God) child who goes on a quest to save the world.

  • Best iPhone Apps: The Guide for Discriminating Downloaders
    • Rated 5 stars

The book is nicely categorized by types of iPhone apps -- Best Apps at work, Best Apps on the Town, Best Apps at Leisure, Best Apps at Play, etc. Each page is filled with colorful screenshots of the apps and a paragraph about each app. I enjoyed it because I can discover new apps that I never used before.

With over 200 pages of apps, it's sure to make a perfect present for that iPhone geek friend of yours. :)

Note: You can also see the apps listed in the book here: http://iphoneapps.oreilly.com/archive.html

Buffy the musical is awesome. I love al the singing and the lyrics to the songs are quite amusing. Leave it to Joss for being so brilliant. :)

  • Twilight
    • Rated 4 stars

This is a must for fans of the Twilight movie and books. 142 pages of of wonderful photos from Twilight the movie. There's great background information about how the movie was in limbo and almost didnt' happen. There's also background information about the actors and how they prepared and tried out for the roles. And I love the quotes from the movie, author, director, and actors.

I didn't think the movie was as great as the book, mostly because Bella and Edward fell in love too fast. But reading this makes me appreciate it a lot more. Catherine (the director) is quite creative. Her background is in architecture (so she's very detailed-oriented). She later went to film school and worked on building sets to give characters a lot of personality.

Very great book if you're a Twilight fan. :)
