Hi there! Just reading your review of Penman's book. I loved that book when I read it a couple months back. I appreciated that the author did a pretty good job not making either side of the conflict completely good or completely evil. And I genuinely liked most of the main characters. I am nearly finished with Time and Chance, the next in that series. It's just as good, if not better, I think. Happy reading!
yup thanks a lot...Happy reading...!!!
Dawn i wanted to know as to how do you select your books? i mean all the books on your shelf are unheard ( sorry i am ignorant, i have not yet heard of them) yet they are so so nice!!!Also, the book covers are totally beautiful & enchanting...wish you could to tell me how to look for them. I went this week to the Crossword bookstore this week to find something like from your shelf- romantic, old culture, historic type but couldn't find any :(
Neways, Happy reading!!!
oh wow we DO have a lot of books in common!! thanks for the invite, im looking forward to stealing a bunch of your books :) btw, you'd probably like the historical fiction group on shelfari, i saw that a lot of the books youve read are on that groups shelf, and youre friends w/ a lot of the people in the group :) happy reading!
To be honest I wasn't wild about it. I thought it would never end. The history was interesting but I thought the story could have been told in 300 pgs rather than 700.
Don't let my opinion of the book stop you from reading it though. Many did love it.
Let me know your thoughts when you are done.
