I spent ten years writing and researching Columbine, a portrait of two killers and their victims. I have also written for the New York Times, Washington Post, Times of London, Slate, Salon, Daily Beast and the Guardian.

I'm sorting out my second book now (summer 2010). In July, I finally moved from Denver to NYC.

Thanks for the note Dave. I finished Columbine in August and gave it five stars. Here is my review:

At first I wasnt sure if I wanted to read this book, thinking that I had seen it all on tv and what else would I learn. I found out that what I thought happened was a lot of media hype. The background information on the shooters, their families and the victims was interesting and I was glad to find out what happened to a lot of the victims 10 years later. The amount of research that went into this book was amazing.

Hello, Dave. You are listed as a member most like me due to Light in August. Typically, I am not a big Faulkner fan, though I like this one so far. I also see that you have Water-Method man by Irving (Owen Meany my favorite) and Portney's Complaint by Roth (love Indignation best, and like several others). Anyway, have a great day.
