    I read most of the Liaden books a while ago (I keep discovering books that I haven't added to my shelves!). I think the last I read were CRYSTAL SOLDIER and CRYSTAL DRAGON and didn't really care for them as much, so I'm not in a hurry to try DRAGON TIDE... but I'll probably go back to them at some point.

    Heheh... Yes, I can't help using Dunnett as a litmus test, too! Sadly, so few of my reader friends seem to pass, but when I do find one it's definitely like being a member of an exclusive club.
