    Has anyone approached you about the book chain letter? If not, would you be interested. Essentially you would send one book and get 36 books (if everyone plays). Basically you would get a letter from me with an address. you would send a book from your shelf to that person. Then you would send the letter on with my address in it to 6 of your friends who would then send your name to six of their friends and so on...

    Would you be interested?

    Hey there everyone! It’s Stuffy one of your Mods from the Shelfari book group, Patricia Briggs Fans. I just wanted to give a friendly hello to everyone and invite you to come post in the new topics in our wonderful group! And let you know that there’s been some very exciting things going on in the world of Patricia Briggs.

    First, The Mercy Thompson series has been optioned by a major studio for a possible movie adaptation. Next, the first shipment of the Mercy Thompson graphic novel titled, Mercy Thompson: Homecoming (by the Dabel Brothers and Patricia Briggs) will be shipped starting the first week of November. So order your copy today! Also, The History Channel is doing a special on werewolves and our favorite author and her husband will be featured, so keep an eye out! Last, Patti has announced that she has started work on her newest novel, the sequel to Cry Wolf, titled Hunting Ground.

    Come discuss these fun and exciting new developments as well as play games and chat with fellow fans over at our Patricia Briggs Fan group! I hope to hear from you all soon!

    Hi DarcAnjel, welcome to Play Book Tag! Our new tag for September is dragons. Once you read a book that fits the tag, post it on the discussion thread entitled September tag: our collective reads for our shelf with a short review and a rating of 1 to 5 stars. From there, discussion will hopefully ensue! If you need some help brainstorming some dragon ideas (like I did), check out the thread entitled September tag: share your reading plans and suggestions...many members have some great ideas!

    Another reason to read the monthly tag is because we do a raffle for a gift certificate every 1,000 posts! We are quickly approaching 18,000 discussion posts so will be raffling off a $18 GC (for 19,000 posts it will be $19, etc.). The only way you can be entered into the drawing is to have read a book for this month’s tag and have posted a review of it! And, who doesn't like some extra book money?!?

    We also organize larger games every couple of months or so. We are in the process of starting a new game! Each day, the admins will post a little hint about the game on the thread entitled Upcoming Reading Challenge - - Starting October 1st. Feel free to check out that thread and, if the game looks interesting sign up! :)

    For answers to other commonly asked questions, search for the discussion entitled FAQ for new members. We have very different reading tastes! However, I am all about branching out so I'm going to browse your shelf some more and see what you have! If you have any questions about PBT please don't hesitate to ask me!

    I read one of your posts in the Atheism group, and I'm not surprised at the reaction of the woman who asked you to leave. I find San Antonio to be a very unfriendly town. If you move north just a little along I35 you will find plenty of really nice liberal accepting people. And this is from someone who went to graduate school at the HSC in San Antonio.
