more »My fascination with books started with my Grandfather's home library. I always loved going into his private library and crawling up in his lap with a book. He had wonderful, colorful books that were seductive to my young eyes long before I could even read. How patient was my Pop Pop to allow me to thumb through first editions from W.E.B. DuBois or Richard Wright with sticky fingers covered in jam? Then, when I finally could understand the words on the page I was carried away to all kinds of places that my small town suburban life couldn't take to me to.
Now, I'm a Video and TV Producer who loves to tell a good story. I consider myself a writer first, having written my first novel at the age of nine. My best kept drama has been my diary that I started in ninth grade. Yes, I still write in my diary, but now it's all electronic ;-)
Over the years I've built my own rather impressive library with far to many books to include on my Shelfari page but I will try to add as many as I can. I'm also working on my first book. So, with a little luck and God's blessings my book will be on your shelf one day. Maybe I'll even come full circle so some other little girl will begin to thumb through my books and find her voice as well.
