I love to read. I find it to be an escape from the realities of life. I will read any book that someone recommends to me but I tend to favor mysteries, crime, and books about science. My favorite time of year is flea market season so I can go and get large quantities of books at a fraction of the cost.

    Hello Danielle,

    Nice shelf.
I hope that all the books you read are exciting and satisfy your thirst for adventure.
I’m feeling a bit under the weather this morning.

Dracula: Hearts of Stone (Dracula is a good guy)

We start with a shiny new pot of boiling water and add too many evil vampires, and not enough of the good biters. Toss in one suicidal Dracula; add a cup of mayhem and a dash of romance. Stir in some red sheriffs. Oh yes, and a pinch of mirth. Stir lovingly and you have a novel by A. J. Gallant. If it sounds like the recipe for you then you must read Dracula: Hearts of Stone.

Please check out my author page for excerpts and other novels:

Unrealistic or not my writing gives me hope. But with something like 50 000 books published a month it is a little discouraging.

Yes, the series is so well-written, I can totally see you zipping through it before the end of the month. The movie is definitely worth seeing if you can slip away for a matinee or something. How is your son, by the way?

    Hi Danielle,

If you like Koontz, Cussler, Crichton, Flynn...you might like Catch.

A woman abducted by a mysterious organization. A troubled man trying to outrun his past. A power so terrible it possesses the ability to rip away the very fabric of the universe itself...

    I hope you'll check it out : ))

“I highly recommend reading this book , a good novel with plenty of thrills and action” - Shelfari

"5.0 out of 5 stars Gripping; Pacey, 19 Aug 2011
By Ryan Spencer - See all my reviewsThis review is from: Catch (Kindle Edition)
An absorbing and riveting read from early on, and maintains pace throughout.
Special Forces soldiers at their best!
Downloaded and read on an iPhone, had to keep charging the phone as I couldn't put it down!" - Amazon

"There is never a dull moment in this story.
Bravo to Author Quirk for giving us complex characters to love and hate. As Catch and Hallie are pursued from all directions, their relationship as well as their characters develop. He puts the reader right into the settings and action with his very vivid descriptions. I for one, could not wait to turn the page(or in the case of a kindle - to press the next page button.) I didn't want it to end! The story is nicely tied up at the end, but leaves just that little bit to make the reader hope for a sequel, or maybe even a Catch Harris series." - Amazon

Did you have a good trip to Texas? Your baby is growing up so fast! I took my granddaughter to Kansas to visit my mom a couple of weeks ago. We had a really nice girl's week with my sister and mom.

My good friends live there, off Bridge Street. Country living -- wonderful! I've been a city person all my life. First Everett (small city north of Boston), then the South Shore. Only when we camped did we have "country living", but it was marvelous.

That's an area I'm not familiar with - but we used to family camp in Sterling in the mid-60s, for 4.5 years. My reading enjoyment comes from a genre you probably don't read - romance, mainly - but it's good to see our state there!
