I was born and raised in small town in Florida. I've lived on a cattle ranch and in an orange grove that we've just recently turned part of into a hay field. I have a son that has an autistic spectrum disorder, so he's a little tough to handle at times, but I wouldn't change him. I also have four cats, a dog and a gecko (yes, my house is a... more »

Betsy is off to Cape Cod to take Antonia's body back to her Pack. Not only does she feel bad about Antonia's death, but she's not sure what to expect from the Werewolves when she gets there. Tagging along with her is her husband Sinclair, her best friend Jessica and her ward (and baby brother) BabyJon. The Pack is in mourning and trying to play the blame game when it comes to dealing with the death. They also seem to have an aversion to Betsy's ward. Can all the finger pointing be settled or will there be a war between the two sides? And will they figure out why the Werewolves have a problem with the BabyJon?

Meanwhile, back on the home front, things aren't going well. Betsy's sister Laura is being followed by Satan worshipers and Marc, Betsy's housemate and friend, thinks that he's doing a good thing by suggesting ideas to Laura on what to do with them. Little does he know that it's backfired. Now there are Satanists all over the house, Tina, Sinclair's right hand woman, is missing, their cell service has been shut off and Marc can't get ahold of Betsy. Oh, and Marc's keeping a journal of it all. Have things been pushed to far to recover from?

This is another excellent read from MaryJanice Davidson. I howled with laughter while reading this, especially Marc's journal entries. Unfortunately, this is the second to the last book in the series and while I hate to see this series end I have to say that I can't wait to get my hands on the last book.

Jazz is a witch that likes her life the way it is. She's a curse eliminator and she also drives limo for a company that caters to the paranormal. When Nick Gregory shows up in her life again she knows it's not a social call.

Nick is a vampire and an investigator. His newest assignment is to find out what's happening to a long list of vampires that are going missing more and more often. He has an idea of who's behind it, but he needs Jazz's help.

This is a good story with quirky characters. Jazz and Nick have to over come their turbulent past to work together in the here and now. There are other things that happen within the story line that show Jazz's abilities with magic and other characters that I have a feeling that we will see in the next few books. I have to say that I love Irma the ghost and Fluff and Puff (Jazz's bunny slippers). They made me laugh.

  • The Dangerous Book for Demon Slayers

Lizzie Brown was just your average (if not slighlty OCD) preschool teacher until her 30th birthday when she found out she was a demon slayer. Since then nothing has been the same. Her sweet hyperactive Jack Russel terrier is now talking to her (or as he says she can finally understand him), her long lost grandmother is a biker witch with a coven of crazy witches at her side and Dimitri who is her "protector" (and love interest) just happens to be a shape shifting griffin.

This time Lizzie and the gang are off to Las Vegas to save her uncle from the clutches of a succubus. Unfortunatly, Lizzie has to save more than just her uncle, she has to save all of Las Vegas from the she-demons as well as her griffin boyfriend. She's also decided to write a handbook for demon slayers while doing this. Will she be able to get this done and write her book at the same time? Let's hope so.

This was an excellent second installment of Ms. Fox's Demon Slayer series. I enjoyed every last minute of the book from Lizzie's testing for her license to kicking she-demon butt. The tension (sexual and otherwise) between Lizzie and Dimitri through out the book was everything I wanted to see and more. Lizzie's grandma and her biker witch coven are still as wild as ever and Pirate is still just as cute (and hyper) as well. This is a must read in my opinion. Be sure to read The Accidental Demon Slayer before this one though, so you know what's going on.

This book was a refreshing change of pace from the books that I had been reading. In this book Fred is her usual snarky self with a slight case of jealousy mixed in.

In this book Fred has to take a trip to join in a meeting of all merpeople, but she doesn't know what for. All the fun starts when she gets there and get an awakening that she'll never forget. Throw in the two men in her life (the sexy marine biologist and the sexy merprince) along with her best friend, her boss and a few thousand merpeople and you have a recipe for a very funny read.

I just finished this book and I have to say that it was just as excellent as her other books. There was a lot of action and suprises as Riley tries to solve a case for the Directorate and a personal one for her pack alpha. Will Riley be able to solve them both before things get out of hand? Be ready for the unexpected because that, along with some romance, is what you'll get when you open this book.

Betsy and Sinclair are getting married and the wedding is coming soon. Betsy has some last minute things to do and it seems that her friends along with her future husband are MIA. Add in a couple of deaths, a baby brother, and a few werewolves and you've got one interesting and funny story. I recomend this book to all!

Kate Douglas' story in this book is excellent. It continues the story of the small pack that was formed in the first book and brings new light to a very bad incident. You also get to meet a new character to the story that I'm sure we'll be seeing more of soon. I recomend this story to all.
