I am an avid book reader. There's something to say about actually turning pages instead of reading online or with an electronic reader. I recently got married to a wonderful man, inherited 3 grown step-children, 3 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to reading, my hobbies include scrapbooking, journaling, Bible study,... more »

I'm so sorry you live with Chronic Fatigue and Fibromyalgia. Yes, scrapbooking is a good hobby. I'm eager to catch up on my albums and pictures when I retire.

I have a daughter and son and they both graduated from the University of Michigan.

My husband and I were raised Methodist. I went to a Methodist college. My husband was a Methodist when we married in 2006 but he joined me in our Presbyterian church.

I search Shelfari to find books to read. I am a reading addict, but it's important to me what I put into my mind. I live in the Philadelphia,PA area and remarried 5 years ago to a wonderful man. We have 4 grown children. I am in my 60s and still working. I work in the field of cognitive stimulation for older adults. I really like my job.

My husband and I spend a lot of time involved in our Presbyterian church, traveling, and doing stuff with friends. I also enjoy scrapbooking which I plan to do more of when I retire. I would say that many of the activities you described about yourself resonate with mine.

I noticed you are from Michigan. My children graduated from college in Michigan.

Hi Dana T. Thanks for responding to my question of should I read "Same Kind of Different as Me". I finished it up last week. I found it to be a great book and it left me with a lot to think about. Since I'm not strongly religious, I felt some of the novel to be a bit over the top, but it wasn't enough to turn me off to the book. I'm glad I took the time to read it.
