Growing up, I was never a big fan of books. They were just time consuming and didn't bring anything to the table. Well, clearly I was wrong. The thing that had me shying away from books wasn't the books themselves, as it turns out, but the language. I'm from Sweden and reading books in swedish just doesn't do it for me, and I suspect that is why I never enjoyed books in the past.
About 10 years ago or so I began collecting the Buffy the Vampire Slayer adult novels and slowly began reading in English. This year I've read more books than I have since I was born (ok, maybe exaggerating that a little since I've read all the BtVS novels, and there's a lot of those!). I really figured out what I wanted from the books (English language was the first rule!) and so I began rummaging through my favorite store in town that carries more English books than Swedish. I've had a goal to read at least 25 books before the year is over and I've just passed that goal. It's shocking to everyone, including me, how much I read now and how I can prioritize a book over just staring at the TV.
The girl behind the bookcovers is a Swede (as you probably figured out by now ;)) who has been wrapped up in the Whedonverse Fandom for years, and diving head first into the Supernatural Fandom as well in later years. Movies has always been a big part of my life since I was a kid, so I love getting ready and going to the cinema at night to see some new movie that's just come out. I also have an addiction to coffee and the web. I run several sites online and chat away with friends all over the world whenever I get the chance.
I have a tendency to get restless, and I constantly change things about myself (which can be noted by the hair specifically. Think I've been through 6 different haircuts/styles in just 9 months ;)). I love my family and have a best-friend type of relationship to my mom, who shares my love of books and fandom.
Whenever I get the chance, I read fanfics online and create as much graphics/fanart as I am able to get inspiration for.
