I am a massive book a'holic. I always seem to have books around me, in every room. I also enjoy audiobooks. I work out of the house, so I listen to audiobooks quite frequently on the computer or on my iPod. I have a membership with Audible.com and Booksfree.com. I just renewed my Booksfree account.
Uh-oh. I recently bought a nook. So in... more »

I haven't read the Shining yet but it's in my TBR. I went to the hotel that gave Stephen King the inspiration for the story earlier this year. We went on the ghost tour of the place. It was so neat. My mom and I have plans to visit The Provincial Hotel in New Orleans which is supposed to be the most haunted hotel in the US. What other books do you like to read or are you like me and just pick up random books?

I'm enjoying it so far. Everyone has said what a great book it is so I had to see what all the fuss was about. My favorite of his right now is Pet Semetary because it did what it was supposed to do...scare the crap outta me!!! LOL
Here's to wishing you a great day and happy reading!!

Blood Noir, and it was ok. but...i hope they bring in Claude and Claudine, but i'm going to really be irked if they deviate too much from the books...

Heh, well i can send you all 17 of the ABVH books in PDF format if you'd like. But i understand why people dislike the later books. I still like them and i see her pulling more out of the sex sex sex, and i also have the Merry books up through A Lick of Frost. I like them as well (Huge Doyle Fangirl) but my only REAL problem, is when they change the way things happen, like Bills 'proposal' in the series.I mean, how are they going to explain that he was just sent there by Sophie-Anne,I bet they probably jsut wont do that part of the story even though that is what /I/ loved about it. i never truly cared for bill but that really helped me get past him. I love Eric, and Alcide( he's the only one who see's that Bill really raped Sookie), and Quinn] even though Quinn and her will not work because of how.....much Quinn's mom needs him. he's too spread for now. and i still like Alcide !

So I'm confused...when I look at the notes you've posted for me, I don't see any of my replies. This is not an intuitive Web site to me!

My only problem with Trueblood is how far they deviate from the books and how they knocked out bits, like Bubba ! the craze is annoying but deal with able. But Sookie's books re really good and i love them. I've read them all but my other big series (besides Kelley, and Sookie) is LKH's Anita Blake AND Merry Gentry. both really draw me in.

I just added a bunch--hadn't been on (obviously)...I have to think of more authors to go through. That's enough for tonight. I guess on some of them, I'll go back and add some reviews, but at least I have some added now!

Same here. I hate it with a passion and going to a high school is torture with all the squealing fangirls. it's very annoying.i read the first two because my friends swore they were good books, well i was obviously disappointed. I loved the genre, but not these books

Two former co-workers--Jen & Suzanne--and my mother-in-law, Paulette: she is a big reader and I think she'd like this site. I have to start filling in some books!

I looked at Booksfree the other day it is an interesting idea. I love to collect my books though. If I can ever bring myself to give up tv it might be a great replacement. Audible is something I may get into soon. I love audio books and I am thinking of getting an ipod and a kindle within the next year. The ipod and the kindle are about to become my next two weaknesses.

I have a lot to do on LinkedIn--I have only completed 25% of my profile...my name and my title. Now I have to update it to be like a resume, and I have to change Wyeth to Pfizer....I'll write a regular e-mail :o)
