Good Morning it's 5:20 and I'm having my morning coffee and I'd thought I'd drop you a line and find out what book you are reading at the moment. I'm almost finshed with 2 books "The Dragonbone Chair" and "Myth Alliances". I will read Alice in wonderland this month for the book tag group. If I can I will also rea a Christmas carol also. Anuway I just thought I'd drop you a line and see how things are going. Have a nice day.

And, Ho Chi Minh sounds better than Minh, Ho Chi, which is what would be done in the U.S. if it were an "English" style name! I will go ahead and approve the request then. Thank you so very much.

Can you help me please? You requested a name change:
Du Nguyên changing to: Change name to:
    Nguyễn Du
    Du Nguyễn

The first name is given name and the second name is the sorted name. At library records where I looked, it showed the name as "Du Nguyễn" with the sorted name as "Nguyễn, Du". But they are United States libraries and may be wrong. The only Vietnamese name I know is Ho Chi Minh. The United States Libraries show his name as Ho-Chi-Minh. That is also the sort name. Would Nguyễn Du be the same? Please forgive my arrogance of Vietnamese names.

Good morning again. I usually only survive on 4 or 5 hours sleep a day. When I get up I do the usual get up things (like go to the bathroom) and I make my coffee maybe eat, then go on my computer read books later in the day I go to the book store and have coffee there and check out some and see if I can afford them etc. I'm retired so my days are now mine. I spend time at church doing work work there and lately I have some work sending packages to the American troops in Iraq. This week I will go to the funneral of a solider who died recently in Iraq. So I keep quite busy. Have a nice and as Stephan King says "May you have long days and pleasant nights".

Good morning, thank you for the information I will look into all that you gave me. I am going to check out the tourism part and at least find out what the cost is and what I need. I had a girlfriend who lived in siagon (now Ho Ch Minh City) and I should have married her, but I was too young to do such a thing. I never had a chance to go visit her at her home, but maybe I can figure out a way to visit her and her family. Of corse after 30 years I don't expect any thing. Thanks again for the info. until later. Ken

Hello Nguyen, I'm glad you drop a not back. I was very curious about the books and as I said I didn't realy know that they existed there at all. I'm glad they. Books shouldn't be kept from any one. I have tried to send a note to some near Bein Hoa in the south since that was where I was. I'm courios about there also. I know this is suppose to be about books, but I can't help to wonder about north and south Viet Nam and what has happened to them since to war ended. I have offen thought about trying to find a way to return and see for myself the changes that have occured. But, money is something I don't have so I probably will never get the chance.

Hello Viet N, Are you realy from Hanoi? I'm out of touch about Viet Nam. I spent a year in south Viet Nam when I was in the Army. If you are actually from Hanoi, I'm glad or should I say surprised that you have the books that you do. I'm also glad that you do at least it seem your government is allowing western books into your country. Yeah I sound sceptical, but I haven't heard anything about Nam in years. My courosity is up. If I offend you I'm sorry. I am very courious though.
