Hi Cyrene, Sorry to take so long to get back to you. Funny, Closing of the American Mind was my college class graduation 'book'. I was so offended by the title, I never read it. I have just recently been introduced to Jorge Luis Borges works and ideas. Have you ever checked him out? Also recommended was the House of Leaves which I am just starting also.
Thanks for the friendship request! I am not familiar with any links read anthing on gluten allergies or the connection between possible magnesium deficiencies and depressive disorders like Reynaud's Phenomenon.
Have you done any resarch on it? I will check one of my books and let you know if I find anything!
Hi Cyrene! Thank you for your note :) Do you know I've lived in Syracuse my whole life and have never had Sal's Birdland wings? I've been by that place a million times but never had them. Funny huh? I know they've done a lot of construction up at SU lately so it's not surprising that your dorm isn't the same anymore. I love going up there, it's like a whole other universe. I Love walking towards the Hall of Languages. Makes me think I'm entering a castle!
Yes, as a matter of fact I am about to start really getting into using Tarot for meditation and for self-knowledge very soon. Have you heard of B.O.T.A.? This is an organization kinda like the Rosicrucians, but B.O.T.A combines Kaballah. Tarot, and mysticism and esoteric knowledge. website: www.bota.org
I'm sending in my first dues as a new member (not expensive: only $15 a month) and then will receive my first lesson. I'm seriously excited about this! Check it out and let me know what you think.
Don't laugh that I had to copy and paste what you said to my note reply :) I just forget what I want to say without the original note! haha
Cyrene, Your favorites list/note has made my day and brought a big goofy grin to my face. Psst I kinda needed that today, so thanks so much. Let's do be friends!!
PS WOW a girl after my heart...you have kitties! (Uhh please let's exchange emails so you can kindly send me a picture of them in Halloween outfits! LOL and you said that you like the Atlanta Roller derby??!! COOL! I've never been to a roller derby :) What in the world is that like??
My favorites of the moment...my 4 kitties, making Halloween costumes for them, being well over 30 on the outside but finally getting around to my 20s on the inside, tea time, boysenberries, Atlanta Roller Derby, knot gardens, growing herbs on my balcony, making and sharing art trinkets, finding friends that like the same things I do!
Hello, Cyrene from Hanson! I had the pleasure of living in Hanson during early puberty. I'll say no more 'bout that.
If I could mail you some Cape Cod Pizza, I would. It's an addictive substance. Now I will have to make the trip to Duxbury for these Napoleans you mention. As for Brant Rock, it's actually the only beach I know how to get to. I am a terrible driver. I've been known to go rte 36 to 53 to 139, about 40 minutes out of my way, to find the ocean. It would be so much easier if I could fly. I'm a rat in a maze down here.
What brings you South? Is the transplant taking?
I majored in Theatre, then English, then Art, then Theatre again. Curses! Now I'm a failure times three.
Thanks for the note and the gander at your shelf.
No, I haven't read the Book of Lost Things. It's on my Wish LIst. And I don't remember the tv series your talking about but it sounds really interesting. If you find out it's playing again, let me know.
And Yes, I do make ATC's ,but I haven't made any in awhile~ do you want to trade? :0)
