“I read this a while ago. The only thing I can recall is that he gave me the impression that he didn't really know what he was talking about (as far as religion is concerned). He seemed bitter. Some of the info was funny. Others raunchy. I recommend Steve Harvey's book over Dante's. Steve's info sticks with you, is helpful, and is the type of book you may want to read more than once. ”

“Marissa does an excellent job with her latest novel, the story of a woman named Marina Maxwell. Outwardly, she may look as if she has everything together. But behind closed doors is where we get to observe the real woman. Her violent tendencies towards her main man are evident from the day they get married. But the wedding still goes on and the marriage is tested time and again between Marina and Mangus, the hubby she abuses.

The best thing about the book is how Marissa portrays her characters especially Marina. As a reader, you may find yourself checking your own anger issues and wondering if you have anything in common with this explosive sista. Marissa must be commended for writing about a subject that's out of the box. She brings attention to the issue of men that are involved in domestic relationships and showcases how things can and do go wrong. Something He Can Feel is refreshing, eye-opening, and a must read.

“This is my first time reading Mark Anthony's work and I really enjoyed the experience. He certainly has a talent for capturing a female's voice and does a very good job narrating the tale of Katrina, the main character in this tragic urban tale about a young woman who makes a lot of bad choices. I would say that Mark Anthony is a stand-out in terms of this genre because he added scenes or information that I didn't expect. I recommend this book.”

“Believe me, the cover and the title of this book in no way prepared me for what I was about to read. In a nutshell, the book chronicles in descriptive, entertaining, and shocking detail the journey that Brenda Thomas experienced in living an adult life of domestic abuse. I admire her candid thoughts and am convinced she has nine lives. The book was very addictive in that you are concerned for the author and you wonder how on earth does she get herself out of this horrible, co-dependent situation. I feel the book is a must read for women (whether or not you're in an abusive relationship) because it helps us to examine our own lives and choices; it may help us to save our lives, and it may help us to face the painful choices we may have to make in order to protect ourselves and our loved ones from unnecessary pain that is sometimes cloaked in 'love'. I didn't like the way the book ended because of the abruptness, however, the book was captivating, at times quite funny (if you can imagine that), and definitely one that resonates with you after you've read the final word. “The is the most thought provoking and engaging book I have read in years. It is nothing like the title suggests. Excellent book filled with many discussion starters. This book should be read by black men and black women, white men and white women, and anyone who has an open mind and is ready to hear truth about race relations in an honest and humorous writing voice.”

“Mary B. Morrison wrote this truly fascinating, excellent feature at the back of this book -- everyone should read it. She truly GOES there!! It's about her personal experience with this guy that is food for thought for women and how we should be cautious when it comes to the opposite sex. I loved it!! She's tough! :)”
