I decided to go back to school (a full-time job, two young children, a houseful of cats, occasional karaoke, and my volunteer work with a feral cat organization were just not enough--ha ha!) and I am taking a class this fall at Illinois State. Thanks so much for accepting my friend request. While I have you here, I was wondering . . . would you be interested in reviewing my new novel and posting your comments here (as well as on a few other book-related sites). I could e-mail you the novel in an e-book format if you'd like. Let me know if you're interested. Here's a link to a summary in case you're interested:

    Hi,
Have a blessed merry Xmas !
    Elisabeth

    I 'd like to

    create these days,

    a huge Christmastree

    very special

and I'd put on it instead of gifts

    the names

of all my friends. Those very close to me

and you, Diana so far away. My forever friends and

    you always.

I meet with some every day but you, I miss you

    so so much.

Someone I always remember and I forgot a few from time to time.

The reliable and the absent-minded. Friends of happy times

and other of rough times. Those never again will I hurt

and those that I have been hurt sometimes. Those I got to know deeply

and those that I've just met once and judge by

    appearance.

Those who owed me something and those that I owe them a lot.

The humble friends and the VIP friends.

That's the reason I name all of them, every friend in my whole life

You, who will get this message and they who never get it.

A tree with deep roots because your names will never be unroot out.

A tree which will blossom next year for you all, with happiness, health, love and peace.

I wish I could have gone to you so that I could have shared my hearfelt wishes of hope, generousity,

    cheerfulness,

    warm-hearted thoughts

    of joy for everybody who

    has lost everything.

    MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!

I'm writing to let you know that Rita Golden Gelman, author of "Tales of a Female Nomad", will be hosting a Q & A in the group Good Reads. Since you've participated in some of the discussions about "Tales of a Female Nomad" I thought you may be interested. There isn't any special time when questions need to be posted, so feel free to take a look or post a question of your own when you have some time.

Just letting everyone know that the June winner for "Good Reads" is The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffengger. If you're interested in reading the book we look forward to your input and discussion.

Also, July nominations are now posted. Feel free to take a look at those and vote.

Participating in the discussions and voting enters you into the drawing to be selected as a nominator. However, no pressure to participate in either one of these.

    Morning regards Cuento,
I totally agree with you, "A 1000 Splendid Suns" is a deeply touching book and one of my favorite novels this year would be "The Book's Thief". Have you read "The Shadow of the Wind" by Ruiz Zafón -a spanish writer? The story starts in a "cemetery's books" with a intrigueful plot with well-drawn characters.
    Have a splendid weekend,
    Elisabeth

Only a short note to wish you very happy Easter Holiday. I learnt that you have added two books we have in common: "A Thousand Splendid Suns" and "The Book's Thief". Hope you are having a great rest and enjoy reading these two delightful novels.
Looking forward to hearing from you,
    Your Spanish friend, Elisabeth
