Hi all. I am 39 years old and have been an avid reader since I can remember. I love romances of all kinds and mysteries. I have been mostly reading paranormal romances right now but once in awhile will mix in a thriller or two to shake things up a bit.

I haven t decided if I am more addicted to reading or collecting more books. My TBR... more »

I just wanted to let you know that I think you're doing a great job with 12x12. It is one of my favorite groups!

Also, I hope everything is going well. Haven't seen you around as much (and I haven't had much time to stalk as usual ;)) Maybe I should go through your groups and see which ones I haven't yet joined.

...whatever cartoon instrument of pain I have handy. Okay. Got it. LOL

Yep, I'll put up a "What are you Reading in January?" thread. Every group needs one of those.

The group is getting very busy considering it's quite a hard, well mostly big, challenge. I'm pleasantly surprised. All the usual suspects are there, too. Should be fun!

Thank you so much for making me admin! I have no idea what I'm doing so if I just make sure everyone who introduces themselves gets a reply and if I see any spammers I'll whack them on the head with a big cartoon mallet. Will that do? Any other duties just let me know. It's kind of cool that I'm on the other side of the world, we've got it covered 24 hours a day! Whoo!

Do you remember if you disliked the SEAL book because of the type of book it was or you just didn't care for it period? Just curious because usually anything with a hint of military anything makes me worry there will be too much action - but I got the impression that you didn't mind that. I remember you saying before that you liked the cajun books back when there was a Sandra Hill challenge. Tarnished Lady is the 1st book by her that I've read and it just made me interested enough in the other characters to give the other books a whirl. From the reviews I've read, the things that people didn't like weren't things that I would dislike.

I like how our college library is small so I kind of get to do a little of everything - book repair, circulation stuff, ILL requests (for obvious reasons my fav), new book processing, etc. - but mornings do kill me. Usually the other library clerk acts as a buffer for the 1st hour. Usually we kind of do good cop/bad cop. I'm usually bad cop - the person saying "ok you and you're 6 friends and your buffet of food & garbage get out of the library pronto." :) I do enjoy helping people find what they want though. So many times a student will come in and because the subject of their research paper is something like "crime in America today", they find a book w/ that exact title and they think that's super, but I'll say, "Dude, the year this came out was 1962 so that's crime in America circa 1962." It just fell through the cracks and hasn't been weeded out yet. But I digress.....

I can't wait to hear what you think of "MacKenzie's Magic" when you eventually read it. So far it's been my fav by that author.

Yeah, that's no problem. No rush. It's not like I don't have a million books to read now as it is. :)

It's 4 something in the morning and I'm still up. I HATE fridays. It's the one day the library isn't open @ night so I have to get up early and my whole schedule is thrown off. Grrrrr. It's just easier to stay up all night rather than try and go to sleep at a strange hour for me and try to wake up at a different time.

I've been reading the Jeaniene Frost books pretty non-stop? Did you see Jonetta & I created a Night Huntress group?

I can't find where the heck I left "First Comes Marriage", however I see that "The Secret Pearl" is on your wishlist. I will send you that. I bought that about a year ago in a bundle & people rave about it but I know I'm never gonna read it in this lifetime so I'll send that instead.

Yes I got the email w/ your address. And.....I just found my 2nd copy of MacKenzie's Magic also by Dier so I'll send you that as well. If you read any Dier book, you gotta read MacKenzie's Magic. I was all freaking out thinking I lost my copy so I re-bought it on ebay. So of course I'm looking in my desk at work for something right now and - bam - I found my original copy.

You don't have to send me anything, but if you want I'll do the same thing to send you my address.

I limited myself to five, since no matter what I do the TBR grows faster than I can take it down.
The Bone Garden by Kate Ellis (an AOTD my library didn't have)
Skeletons in the Closet by Bill Pomidor (which I found in my db as already read when I got home)
    Doctored Evidence by Michael Biehl
Dismal Mountain and Drybone Hollow by John Billheimer (3 & 4 in a series, so I'll be holding them while I look for 1&2)

I dropped by Friendly Used Books yesterday and wanted to let you know two things:
    1. They have a 75% off cover price sale right now as well as $10 per bag of romances
    2. They are going out of business at the end of the year.
