Hi all. I am 36 years old and have been an avid reader since I learned to read. I love romances of all kinds and mysteries. I have been mostly reading paranormal romances right now but once in awhile will mix in a thriller or two to shake things up a bit.

I haven't decided if I am more addicted to reading or collecting more books. My... more »

I might. It will more than likely depend on how 09 ends up. I hope to. It has been a fun one for me. It's time to compile my prizes and start the wrap up. Or remind others to wrap up...=) We'll do the prizes etc in mid January to give everyone time to finish up and post.

Wow that is a lot of books for a personal collection. I hope you have a nice, big basement to store them in!

How many books do you have in your collection? I once had about 3000, but through moves and attrition I only have about 500 now...Jason

Italy is all yours. Is that your dog? He's adorable. My roommate has the same kind of dog. So sweet.

Well I have a book for Africa and I'm all ready to start reading tonight. I feel like I'm hindering you though. I've only finished one of my books and that was after the leg was finished. I think I'm frustrated because I can't seem to finish one. Do you have a particular choice for Italy or India? I have books for both, so it doesn't matter which one I do.

Wow, I finally finished my Japan book and went to post on it and found that the leg was finished and the next would be starting tomorrow. Is it alright if I take America? I didn't find a book for Scotland. At least with this leg starting at 4, I'll already be home from work and can read uninterrupted all evening. Maybe I'll get the chance to post before the leg is over.

So there are like 6 teams who have already finished this leg and I've barely started my book. Of course it doesn't help that I work on the weekends. Hopefully I'll make some headway tonight. I hate being in the middle of a book and having to switch to something else and the next leg might be starting real soon.

Thanks Christina on your response. How you explained Dallas and Roake is exactly what I'm looking for. They both are such strong characters, love them. There are so many in the series to read - agree with you, so many books so little time.

Chrisina - I've read about the first 3 or 4 of the In Death series. It kind of surprised me that Dallas and Roake got married so soon in the books. How does their marriage play out in the rest of the series? Is it still pretty hot? I just love Roake, and was wondering how she handles their marriage through out the rest of the books.

You won't hinder me at all. I'm the same way when it comes to reading. And right now I'm working a full time job, starting to apartment hunt and trying to finish several crochet projects. I mainly play the games to force myself to read stuff I might not normally pick up. Is it alright if I take England? I've got Emma which will cover a CTT tag that I still need.

I'm looking forward to the game as well. I've found plenty of books that I want to read. I was planning on trying to read one book for each county/continent so that I can participate in the individual part as well. My initial thought when seeing what the game was, was that we would each read one country/continent for each leg. So for the first leg, one of us concentrates on england and one on china. What do you think? I'm pretty flexible. While I am competitive, I'm mostly in the game for the fun of it and just tend to go with the flow.
