    Hi again,

Beware that Facebook account - it really is a time hoover and sucks up any spare time you have. It's why I've not been here much this year, I've just got so immersed in it. I haven't let it steal my reading time though and am now on my 87th book of the year!

I would have thought a 3 month road trip was a perfect reading occasion!

Regarding my reads this year, some of my favourites so far:-

    Graham Hurley - One Under
Michael Connelly - The Brass Verdict
Mark Watson - Crap at the Environment
    Lee Child - One Shot
Scott Mariani - The Heretic's Treasure
E.V. Seymour - The Mephisto Threat
Sebastian Faulks - Devil May Care
Joseph Teller - The Tenth Case
    Neil White - Last Rites
    C. David Ingram - The Stone Gallows
Mark Gimenez - The Colour of Law
Scott Pratt - An Innocent Client
Mark Billingham - In the Dark
    Tania Carver - The Surrogate

I used to post reviews on Shelfari for most of my reads but I just haven't had the time this year (that darn Facebook again!) I can tell you more about any of them if you're interested.

I just finished reading My Horizontal Life. I had to make myself put it down at night so I could sleep. I was laughing outloud at parts, it's very funny. I love the part about her twin sister. Now I really want to read her second book. Thanks for recommending.

Thank you, and don't worry I'm over 16. Passed it ten years ago although I don't really like to think of how fast time is moving.

    Hello~
Thank you for popping in. =) I am reading The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society. It's getting interesting. (well it did on about page 23.) I'm only in the 50's now. I haven't had much time to read. My youngest is reading and we have about three books going on at once; audio, the one I'm reading to him and the one he's reading to me. LOL
What are the uglies series? I'm going to have to take a look at your shelf.

I added Uglies to my shelf to read. I'm intrigued by it after reading your review. I had heard about it, but didn't give it much thought. I just finished Beautiful Boy. It's not the kind of book I usually read, but it was really good. I find myself wanting to know more about the lives of the people involved. It's worth a look. I'm on to a brainless Vampire book, I think next. lol

Is it too graphic or not much with just her observations and thoughts?

Hi, I saw you've read My Horizontal Life by Chelsea Handler. I love her show and want to read her books, but I don't know what to expect from this one. What do you think of it?

Hi Tatertot! It's been awhile. Did you ever read The Historian? If you've read A Great and Terrible Beauty...I'd like to hear what you thought. Have a great day!

I've been attempting to give it the benefit of the doubt for the last 300 pages or so but I just don't think it is going to happen! I've had a rough time getting into this book....there seems to be way too much monotony (at least for my taste). The only reason I actually went out and bought this book was because I consistently heard good reviews about it.....well, I would have to respectfully disagree with all of these positive reviews. I just don't see what the big deal is!
