I am a 30 something LPN, and I LOVE animals. I have a parrot, a catahoula cur, an iguana, 5 ferrets, a ball python, 2 guinea pigs, and a leopard gecko.

I love the water. I could park it next to the water or in the water and read all day. I could seriously live in a boat or something as long as I had my animals.

I have a Jack Russell. He is 3 years old and sometimes just crazy, but he's funny and really nice to children and other dogs (only not to little white dogs, don't know why).

Oh, yes, I've seen the movie and I also cried. It's such a beautiful movie. I actually liked the movie more than the book and that doesn't happen to me very often.

By the way I love the ferrets you have with you on the picture. Must be fun to have a lot of animals surrouding you. I have a little dog and he is so much fun.

It's too bad you feel that way about it. I loved Jonathan's story in the book, but that was just a part of the book. I really did enjoy the whole story.

Tell me about one of your very faves.

First one was really good anyway so on the look out for the second one already!! A word of warning they're not like the Sookie Stackhouse series at all, at least the first one wasn't, the vampires are way more evil but it's still really good!

What is a Harlequin Superromance? I noticed the other day that they have all kinds of different Harlequin books now. How is it different from a regular one?

Thanks for the friend request. I noticed you didn't care much for Bram Stoker's Dracula. Why didn't you like the book? What was the let down?? I absolutely love this book. I loved the writing, the descriptions, the characters... It's been a favorite of mine since I was in my teens.

I searched some groups there and found a discussion about review replys and shelfari said that a notification method was going to be set up. That was a year ago so looks like they aren't too bothered by it! I did find out that if you go into 'my reviews' in the more tab on your shelf you can organise them by the most replies so that might help us to see our replys anyway but it doesn't help when we want to comment on someone else's.

Hey ya Im totally in love with the Sookie series!! I did love Bill in the first two books but he got annoying for awhile although he was a bit better in Dead as a Doornail. Im trying to read them slowly as I know once I've all the books in the series read I'll be so disappointed!! Two more are due in the post any day now though and I won't be able to resist once I have them in my posession.

Oh and no shelfari didn't notify me on a review reply which is a tad annoying don't ya think?

I'd edited the first edition a while back and had inserted the correct publisher - book in hand. It appeared to me that you'd deleted what I'd inserted. Sometimes weird things happen with combines and incorrect data gets inserted. Go ahead and re-add the publisher. Thanks for contacting me.

'To The Lighthouse' has been a bit too much of a challenge for me. I picked it up as I know it's a classic, and it appears on several top-100 lists I'm vaguely working my way through. But I wasn't predisposed to like it as I'd previously suffered my way through another of Woolf's novels. Looking through the comments and reviews it seems to polarise opinions; some folks love it, some hate it. I just couldn't get into it. I suspect that says as much about me as a reader as it does about the book though...

I do like variety in my reading. And I hope to read a little of as many different authors and styles as I can. So in that sense it's not wasted effort at all. And if you're into stream-of-consciousness narration then you might enjoy it.

Have to admit though, I threw that 'review' together in about 30 seconds and didn't do it justice. Just wanted to move on to something else I knew I would enjoy!

Yes, I adopted her from the National Greyhound Adoption Program in Philadelphia. She is a sweetheart. for about a year I have been considering it. I had 3 dogs so we didn't have room for another. But I lost my Yorkie a year ago and my Rottie in May. I adopted Sweetie in June.
